I saw this movie a long time ago and I know there is a part where I believe Mel Gison or someone tells what happen to humanity........Nuclear War or something and correct me if I am wrong.
Someone fill me in, was a nuclear war? Thanks for any inputs.
well, you're thinking of the first 2 installments of this series, Mad Max and the Road Warrior. i think he tells about the nuclear war at the beginning of Road Warrior.
@AsicsRunner79 They never fully explain it. The audience is left knowing about as much as the most knowledgeable characters about the history of the world. The narrator in 'The Road Warrior' (the grown-up Feral Kid, chief of the Great Northern Tribe, played by Emil Minty) says, "for reasons long forgotten, two great warrior tribes went to war and touched off a blaze that engulfed them all."
the movie is good, i just hate the constant brainwahsed chanting of opiated youths. they chant for everything, its annoying, but good movie nonetheless.
Miller and his cowriter must have had lots of fun inventing the dialect of these young ones, and all the interesting characters in this trilogy of films.
Coupled with the last scene which powerfully echoes this one, my favorite clip in the film. Thanks for posting.
..my favorite scene of this movie...so much so, I just had to make a cheesy techno remix of it... :P

No. The adults left the kids and the kids had kids

and it just goes to show you how with enough time, displacement and isolation, the most mundane things can become a myth or religion.
2000 years from now, someone will dig up an Elmo doll and build a cult around it.

According to the novelization, the plane crash (and the nuclear apocalypse associated with the evacuation) took place in the year 2008
