    Horn sounds much like old grade crossing warning: -. (long/short) used in 1800s to early 1900s in US before --.- now used.

    -. is used today in China

  • That's the standard bells sound in NZ, and yes, identical to those bells in the US. In recent years they have been gradually replacing them with electronic bells, but fortunately the older sort are still far more common.
