i hope jozy and other good mls prospects stay in the mls to make this league stronger..i think they can do it only if get more good players to make this league better
True some Euro Leagues are better in quality EPL, Bundesliga, Serie A, and the Spanish Primera, maybe the French league, but thats it every other league is not at the same lvl. And Even within the big leagues the mid to bottom teams are teams that MLS would be very competitive with its only the large clubs at the top of the tables that really are that much better than MLS and MLS is only headed for its 14th year...not bad for a fairly new league.
I don´t agree. Any european league have a much faster pace, that´s why all great american players need some time to adapt when they come to Europe. I think even the best teams in MLS would find it hard to compete with mid to bottom european teams, especially within the big leagues.
But of course, with a country that big like US, their football must improve rapidly and i´m sure they will have great teams comparing to a lot of little european countries (leagues). There´s several countries with a population similar to NYC alone, so...
We already see MLS teams competing with EPL and Scottish teams...Chelsea barely beat Galaxy last year and that was a horrible Galaxy team...other teams have played EPL and Scottish teams in friendlies and had good results or close games, and it's not just all great american players going to europe that need time to adjust nearly every player no matter what nation takes time from moving between leagues even within europe...
plus, the portland timbers (usl) destroyed Preston north end and coventry city, i think they beat milwall or stoke also. the were all friendlies but still portland won
Chelsea were in their pre-season. Galaxy were in the middle of theirs. You cannot compare the MLS to the EPL or any top league in Europe for that matter, ever. Its part of who they are, its only to try and sell jerseys and fill stadiums here.
maybe in another five years... and MLS isn't growing as fast as everyone would like to think... J-League is of higher qaulity and has only been around for the same amount of time roughly... the new australian league, a-league, is growing extremly rapidly and will catch up to MLS soon if USSF do not keep pushing... a lax attitude of "we are ok already" just will not do...
"wowo jozy altidore put some skill into his last move eh mates? lol he sucks- Henry and Terry all the way!!"
- That's funy because Newcastle are being linked with him. Search altidore+newcastle in google and you'll find a host of articles linking him with you. It's even on his Wikipedia page.

Ever watched a season of MLS? It seems unlikely. It's a good standard, pal.

so is portland timber for mls and that is pretty low
bloodyknuckles87 3 years ago
chelsea didn't really play properly with their best team. also its chelsea you're talking about, they win with scores of 1-0, 2-0
