  • You can't beat the old classics. I always loved the acting, over dramatic and slightly cheesy. The best! LOL love your commentary! A great idea! "Annual witch burnings are good for the local economy!" haha Love the Blair witch segment, but you forgot the runny nose.. lol. Jason loved that movie.

  • @jellybean4501 Yes, they don't make 'em like they used to, that's for sure. And you're right, there did seem to be a whole special style of horror-drama acting in those days. Even so, I regard these vintage classics very fondly, indeed. Oh yeah, I had contemplated using some of the green slime stuff for the missing effects you referenced, but in the end I didn't want to gross myself out, much less anyone else. I'm fond of "Blair Witch Project", too, I thought it was a very innovative production.

  • This is great Gothling, love how you pieced in parts of the vintage horror movie Black Sunday and clips with Tull playing the song live. Also your Tim The Enchanter character is f*cking hilarious! Loved the Blair Witch segment! Funny as hell, yet still manages to be scary as hell in a campy sort of way. I mean that as a compliment of course!

  • A thousand thanks, Aqua. I knew you'd appreciate the Tull / "Black Sunday" reference. That joke wasn't included in the original footage. Back when I sent the full show to my old friend, Jeff (considering the title of the film & knowing what a huge Tull fan I am), he asked: "Why didn't you make any connections between the film & the Tull song?" I replied: "I thought it would be too predictable!" But all these years later, here it is. As for being "scary as hell", I can only hope that it IS.

  • I love this lol

  • Thanks, C.F. I hoped you'd enjoy it. There's nothing quite so wicked-fun as putting on a spooky mask & clowning around in front of a camera. Then again, there's no direct evidence that this is me, it could be some weird old guy who lives / eats / breathes horror flicks and doesn't know when to put away his Halloween decorations... Then again, that sounds a lot like ME!

  • Well Gothling at less your taking your time

and making good video not half ass on your on videos unlike that Kevin Smith fanboy.

    suckhimselfupdude

  • Thanks, C.F., that's kind of you to say. It's amazing how time-consuming it was to prepare these segments. When actual taping began, the skits were either structured improvisations or read directly off of a clipboard. If I ever do the TV horror host thing on a weekly bases (fat chance of that), I'd definitely need HELP -- it's just too much work to do everything quickly & all by myself. After I finish posting this particular project, I'll look into re-editing another one I did for "Evil Dead 2".

  • love it. love blair witch too. and i must find that movie. it didn't look that badly dubbed. thanks for this. gave me a larf :)

  • I'm so thrilled that you liked it, dear, I really hoped you would. While I was editing, I had you in mind, hoping it would end up giving you a giggle. And yes, I highly recommend the unabridged film, it's one of my vintage spooky / atmospheric favorites. Both English language versions were dubbed, this version was re-dubbed by American International, 'cause they wanted to tinker further with the story content (even though Bava had provided them with a perfectly wonderful English-dubbed version).

  • i'm honoured! glad you didn't do the snot thing though, lol. yuk! my kids do that with that farting green putty stuff, pretending to talk to camera. :) lovely children i have.haha!

  • I briefly experimented with doing much the same thing with some green substance (for the sake of really going overboard with the joke), but eventually thought: "I didn't like that part at all. Why incorporate something which had grossed me out to such an extreme?" So, it was cut out entirely. The really annoying thing is the number of subsequent horror films which have coopted that runny-nose bit of business. Geez, "yuk" is right! Having had kids, one contends all too often with the real thing.

  • that's so true. mine could all blow their noses by two but then seemed to lose the ability by four, but got it back again thankfully. KIDS!!

  • This is one of your best, sweetie! I freakin love it!

  • Thanks, Sweetie. And to think that you were in the other room ordering spiffy things off of QVC while I was taping these goofy clips. Lub!

  • I love this your funny as hell

  • Thanks a lot, I'm glad that you got a laugh out of this silly old home video project of mine.
