I may just be a dumb american, but lots of us believe this song failed to win because Spain was still a fascist dictatorship in 1973 and it was politics. i have actually listened to the winner from 1073, and while the woman was a great singer, the song couldn't compare. This song is just beautiful. Muy bueno indeed!

Hola, en ingles tuvo el titulo de "Touch the wind". Con una letra muy distinta al original "Eres tu" en castellano. Yo recuerdo haber tenido el 45rpm de esta version en casa hace mas de 30 anios, por eso la recuerdo. Era un single americano.

I was in Palma de Majorca in 1978 and got to see Mocadades sing Eres Tu live at Musica Majorca. It was a night of "Saturday Night Fever" bands as Tavares, etc. were topped out then. After a whole line of groups came on and sang their stuff, Mocadades, who I had never heard of came on. It was beauty and beautiful all at once. I wished that they have gone on for hours with their beautiful voices and arrangements. Needless to say, the Spaniards loved it!
