WOW has a hundred times better UI and gamplay/combat system. What WOW doesn't have is the creativity, the skills system or the community this game does. If they could combine the two then that game would be epic. UO had everything in its time, to bad a game of its ability will never be made again.

there are no dwarfs or elves in MO just to clarify things. they are more liike races of different ppl. for example. caucasion. african american. persian. asian etc. 7 total different ethnicities as of now.

They don't listen to the players, because the players have been wanting things like more world-wide PvP since the game began and nothing's been done about it. However, the first of most things is often the first to die as well. Darkfall has opened a totally new door for the MMORPG market, but their chapter in the story is over. Darkfall will most likely be brushed under the carpet as another MMO that failed not too long after launch, and people will never really know that the existence of the games they enjoy so much will be owed to Darkfall and its predecessors.

Not really. UO was the first MMORPG to have over 100k subscribers (As well as being the second actual MMORPG, Meridian 59 was the first), and showed to the world that there was a market for MMORPGs. After 13 years, UO is still running, having seen the birth and death of many MMORPGs. UO is in the Guiness Book of World Records for being the longest running MMORPG in existence. The great grandfather of today's MMORPGs.

Sure, AoC, WAR and EvE are still running but are they really alive? Their playerbases have dwindled and right now they've entered a veritable duldrum of MMORPGs.

Any game that actually listens to what the people want, produce it, and market it successfully will destroy Darkfall. Darkfall is the first of its kind, and I can say the next generations will most likely owe their existence to Darkfall's successes and failures. With such a small team, I don't know if Darkfall will ever be the game it was meant to be, but it will give birth to a new genre of gaming. (Looks at Mortal Online)
