Awesome to finally get to see this Estimated, ranks well into my top-10 all-time, Jerry's voice wasn't at it's sweetest best, as it cracked often this night --- most notably during FOTM, but the Shakedown that follows here is also one for the ages, not to mention Ollin Arageed's percussion into Fire...
Capitol Theatre Passiac NJ . so many great shows in thelate 70's..The Dead..Charlie DAniels, Outlaws, Allman Brothers..etc...Most were about $10 ..Not $100 like so many shows today..
Thank you a million times over for this!!! I've been a fan of this show forever and to see video of an Estimated I've played countless times is amazing. Never got to see the Dead (im 25 yrs old) but these videos are the closest I'll get.
Thanks for posting! Used to have this tape (A radio simulcast, I think. Bootleg LP?). Wore it out. This was the record release party for Shakedown Street I think. Good '78 dead. The Shakedown and Ollin Arageed>Fire are knock outs.
My second show, first was Englishtown 77, it was all good from there on for many years. When they tore down the Capital Theater, a Passaic cop I know who knew I loved that place gave me a few bricks AND a front row center seat before they tore it down. Said I bet you always wanted this seat. I still have it. TS

one of my favourite versions. The 77' Hartford version is also quite stunning.

This is off-the-hook, it is color-corrected, audio-sweetened? Thought it was b&w. Great job, like the Dead at its best IMHO
