The US ranks last for portion of budget given as federally appointed funds to foreign aid relief with only 0.18% (from 22 industrialized nations, all poorer than us, we ranked LAST for percent of funds given for relief).

Haiti aid relief came from private contributions in large. That means American citizens, not the government, provided the majority of the relief. People can spend their money how they see fit.
