  • UH UH. He keeps sayin it..

  • God I want that shirt.

  • Unless you can make food out of rock ! LOL so much

  • Dresden Files is great books.

  • Two minutes before Butcher gets to speak.

  • all we need now is Brandon Sanderson

  • Damn, 20 mins of Dresden and not one word about Alera, WTF? That was a great series, why does it get any love?

  • @Thaibebop

I think it's because Jim's said all that needs to be said about Alera. It's a great series and all, but it's finished and complete. Dresden, on the other hand, is still very much incomplete. There's gonna be twenty-something books and an apocalyptic trilogy, plenty of questions there.

  • Jim says that so casually, "I killed Dresden at the end of Changes"

    YOU BASTARD!

    ...I love you anyway.

  • @nimrodxiv But Harry can't stay down :P

  • I love when the interviewer has good questions. So much better than fanboy questions.

I Can't bitch too much since I have been the fanboy asking Jim Butcher silly questions. I got lucky and caught him at Madicon where there was only like 200 people.

  • Jim Butcher is a super-mobile sitter. Awesome!

  • awesome authors, both of them

  • Kvothe and Harry Dresden LET THE GAME BEGIN

  • The fact Butcher allows time to pass in-between books in his universe is one of my favorite aspects of the Dresden Files. Too many urban fantasy books fail at this and it starts to wear on the story after a while.

  • Pat continues to amaze with his wit in almost any situation!

  • Oh hell My Favorite Two Author's!!!! Oh shit, Nerdgasm!

  • Anyone who dislikes this is a communist. Or possibly a capitalist or a socialist.

  • "You can't have a million people living in a pre-industrial society, everyone dies of Dysentery."

There were at least a million people living in Rome at its height. But then again, I guess Rome is kind of the exception to the rule.

  • Big thanks to Brandon Sanderson for tweeting the link to this! Jim Butcher is one of my very favorites because he respects his readers so much.

  • "Occasionally life will come along and brutally, senselessly, club you over the head with something"

    Ahmen.

    This was a wonderful interview.

  • Hah. Cookies...nice.

  • so this is what he is doing rather than finishing his novels....

  • @andthentherewasham Patience.The writer is no one's bitch.
