  • @adamanFTtitwell Turkey Twizzlers? Really? Go eat some real food.

  • 'I'm not going to a country where you need to get injections to get in.'

He absolutely took that from Karl Pilkington on The Ricky Gervais Show.

  • @Toadsanime Of course he did he does it all the time in his comedy, because he can

  • @Harrywwebeltman And so he should, Karl's amazingly hilarious.

  • @Toadsanime I know thats what I was saying :D

  • @Harrywwebeltman I know, I know, I'm just agreeing.

  • Hahaha, I honestly thought the story at the beginning was real... I feel like such an idiot, but it just goes to show once more that Gervais is a fucking genius.

  • jamie oliver is classic in this. i was in tears laughing with the fat chav bit

  • we need adds like this in america! i would donate so much more money if instead of a million sad adds we got a few funny ones.

  • I love Ricky Gervais for his absolute genius in honestly and effectively delivering the right message in every direction, while still being hilarious. Cheers mate!!

  • LOLOLOL

  • volunteering is the only way, sending money is useless, it gets stolen.

  • Classic. Ok ok I'll doanate :)

  • Thumbs up if you had to search and re-watch this video because today is Comic Relief

  • love how people are coming on here during the live show to see something that's actually funny this comic relief

  • Good to know that everything Stephen Merchant says he wants to do in this video has come true. He's been in a few movies AND is doing advert voiceovers. CRAZY.

  • Comic relief is on tonight.

Or as Madonna calls it 'The Adoption show'

  • I really hate celebrity grub fests like Comic Relief. The BBC should NOT be involved in such charity appeals. I have no problem with charity. Most people give to charity all the year round and don't need middle class multi-millionaires like Gervais to tell them to. The irony is that Africa is actually rich. It has Gold, Oil, Diamonds and other resources in abundance. However Africa seems incapable of good governance. Until that changes no amount of celeb pleading will make much difference.

  • @densaner77 Yeah, those stupid Africans. The West on the other hand has nothing to do with it. Not like we've raped them for hundreds of years, used them as slaves, and taken all of their natural resources for our own benefit.

  • @k1ssinger. Oh the old colonial argument. Many of the people sold to Europeans as slaves were captured by Africans. Yes colonial governments did many wrong things but African governments since the end of colonial times have done much worse. Take Zimbabwe. When independence was granted in 1980 Zimbabwe was handed over to Mugabe in perfect working order. It is now a basket case. Our fault or his? Africans have to take responsibility for their destiny and quit blaming the west for everything.

  • @densaner77 Agreed that Africa's problems are mainly internal, however, millions of pounds will be raised tonight because of the BBC and that will save lives. That can only be a good thing.

  • @trevster2905. Yes millions will be raised. Unfortunately most of it will be wasted because of the corruption in Africa. Africa is not poor. However Africans are kept in poverty mainly by their corrupt governments. Until African nations learn good governance and to respect the rule of law many of their people will continue to live in abject poverty. Comic Relief is a way for rich people like Gervais to feel better. To pat themselves on the back and say I did something for "charidee".

  • @densaner77 Comic relief does the projects, it does not hand out money. It has made a huge difference, unlike all those people who prefer to bitch and do nothing because they think they have an excuse.

  • @Visualbrother. Comic Relief might "do the projects" but studies have shown that a lot of the aid money sent to Africa is stolen. I was not bitching. I was pointing out that Africa's problems are largely of its own making. Corruption dictators and war have dragged Africa to the bottom of the planet in most economic and social indicators. Give your tenner to Gervais and his millionaire pals if you think it will help. Africa will remain a basket case until the people there have proper governance.

  • @densaner77 As I said before: they do the projects, Comic relief does not send money they go and build the houses, thew wells, hospitals and make sure people can farm lands destroyed by wars again. As for sending money being bad idea: that is common knowledge? It's a well known fact from the days of liveaid in 1985, didn't think it needed explaining. you just need to educate yourself on Comic relief's ways of working. I send 150 every year, thanks :)

  • Who needs Rickywhen the world has Lenny Henry.. saviour of all of one mans world.

Lenny; "Fk this shit hole of a dump.. the stench is killing me ..ill pay the fker off buy him new house.. public think im great guy( haaha ..Mugginsssess) then Im back home getting fatter off being the unfuniest comic in world and the only black man in the history of black men who can impersonate David Bellemy by sticking on a beard and munchingaway..whats that?? fake loser? Moiii?

  • Jamie Oliver just redeemed himself of the status of prick

  • Hilarious.

  • SOOOOO FUNNY!

  • lol, looks kinda fake

  • this is the funniest thing i have seen all week XD

  • @Gyphia I'd ask you what I said that was idiotic. wadehjb managed to get the point of the sketch completely wrong, and reveal a shockingly selfish and craven mindset at the same time. When called out on this, he insisted, bizarrely, that I somehow needed to know him intimately in order to evaluate his statements. I assure you the only thing I find upsetting is the existence of such rank self-interested hypocrisy.

    Clear?

  • @guysmiley00 GET OUT OF HERE THE BOTH OF YOU!!!!!

  • because its hug in a mug, practically crying:DDD

  • that is absolutely hilarious!

  • I DIDN'T KNOW YOU'RE SUCH A FAKE.

  • Stephen really does do loads of advert voice overs now, and even Pilkington has been too.

  • So much get the kids of the junk food Jamie Oliver!

    Mac Donald's is a great example! :P

  • @GingerTheHedgehog

"So much get the kids of the junk food Jamie Oliver!

    Mac Donald's is a great example! :P"

    It's called satire.

  • @Pigdowndog I no I was only messing :D

  • "Oh wait, looks like a homeless persons got in....is it a smack head or something"

    "....looks like a tramp..."

"....oh wait its Sir Bob Geldof"

    Lmaooo!

  • i actually like bono now

  • The funny thing is is that Steven is now the voice of Barclays!

  • Jamie Oliver is brilliant in this :D

  • i loved this when I watched it 3 years ago and I still think this is brill now

  • i loved this when I watched it 3 years ago and I still think this is brill now

  • I remember when i watched this with my mates, everyone was horrified and thought it was hideously offensive lol

i was the only one laughing my ass off

  • At the start I was thinking 'wow this is gay.. he's pretending to be in africa' lost so much respect for him momentarily. They need better green screens. I can't go through this again D:

  • "ey! language in front of a.."

  • i coukld tell straight away that it was a screenhe looked out of proportion

  • it looks like hes not even their it looks like hes behind a green screen

  • I still remember watching this on TV and laughing like a drain, this is probably the best moment on Comic Relief

  • hahahahaha

  • He had me fooled I must admit.

  • What the hell was that thing that Jamie Oliver held up in his hand? Turkey Twizzler? WTF?

  • one of my mates actually said this was harsh! i was like 'he did still give money to those people you stupid cunt' and he backed down.

  • @shrew0123 The fact is guys like Geldof have pretty much dedicated their lives to helping those less fortunate, so seeing him act like such a selfish prick is funny in itself, without the addition of Gervais, Merchant, and the other celebs. Great clip all round imo, thouroughly enjoyed it and it's nice to see these guys laugh at themselves. Like you said, it shouldn't matter what they do to raise the money (within reason) as long as they are raising it, and making people's live better

  • 5:50, "Jamie, been to sainsburys again" Haha hilarious!

  • It's funny how steve merchant is talking about getting money from voice overs and he's now the main voice on barclays adverts. Good job Steve.

  • @dmack4142 so fucking what mate?

  • @steveforthewolf Sorry was anyone speaking to steveforthewolf ?? he's replying to my comment for some reason and i don't even know why, please stop reading my comments, thanks.

  • @dmack4142 okay then, but if you dont want them to be read, why post them? thats the point in them

  • @dmack4142 Not the mention him being the voice of Wheatly i Portal 2! =) Awesome!

  • @niklaseklund88 uhm... He's not...

  • @dmack4142 and also now a main part of portal 2

  • Smerch has a gorgeous voice. I love listening to his Barclays ads.

  • shut up smack head!!! give em YOUR fookin mooneeey!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Jamie Oliver was actually well good in that! boy can act!

  • SO PERFECT

  • I love how Steve actually did end up doing loads of voiceovers for adverts.

  • watching this makes you realise how much power ricky gervais actually has

  • Fav quote:

Ricky--"wait a homeless just get in, Is it a smackhead or something"

    Jamie--"Is it a tramp?

    Smerch--"Ohh It's Sir Bob Geldof"

  • Steve was superb in this!

  • I thought he and the african sort of looked out of place there and I was right, it was cgi hahahahaha

  • "At no point am I going to lick a little frogs head."

  • @oak10 Stay green. Stay in the woods. Stay safe.

  • With new DAZ!

  • Oh My Lord, that was just Fab

  • hilarious. gervais is brilliant.

  • i thought it look liked a blue screen at the begining

  • wooooooot jamie oliverrr! Bono! Haha what an awesome party that could be :P

  • @1anonymousmouse yeah...a party with a bloke that forces salad on ya, oh and another bloke complaining cos he cant get his wheelchair up the front step...you are a party animal =D LOL

one more thing i think i should mention.

Karl Pilkington has a head like a fucking orange!

  • @shanustheanu LOL sounds like the best. party. ever. right? xD Ahaha IT DOES.

  • i remember first seeing this, and i thought it was soo sad. i thought wow behind all that obnoxiousness that ricky has hes got a soft side, then i watched on and found out it wasnt real... was a bit dissapointed, but i couldnt care less cos i was laughing so hard... great job rickey

  • genius

  • The brilliant thing is literally the second it starts you can tell its a green screen, but you just think "no, he can't be faking this". and then of course it all descends into chaos! Never mind James Corden meeting England or whatnot, THIS IS 100% THE BEST THING TO HAVE COME OUT OF COMIC RELIEF!!!

  • I dont watch Jamie Oliver normally, but he is brilliant in this.. "Turky Twizzler".. LOL

    Too funny.

  • so good... stephen and ricky are comedy geniuses

  • so so good

  • ahhh this never gets old

  • Nice to see Ricky going against all comic relief traditions and actually being funny.

  • the bit at the end where the black guy turns out to be bono just killed the whole joke in my opinion lol

  • well that's what they were setting up for the whole time... with the tape and all... if they hadn't done so, there wouldn't be much of a punch line...x

  • i thought it was sincere i pmsl sooo funny

  • so did i! woz so raging i fell for it! the bit where ricky seems to be crying, i woz like "Oh my god!" ha ha brilliant!

  • i bet there rolling in the isles listen to you or reading your witty comments.....misrable bastard!....

get a life and fucking smile!

  • lmao,

"i think the homeless have got in"

    "is that a smackhead?"

    "its a tramp"

    "thats Sir Bob Geldof!"
