@themasterbater6996 With exactly the same methods used to break in a horse. A friend of mine is very active in the Qld Donkey Society, she has 3 donkeys, all of which are broken to saddle. The methods are very much the same as those used with horses. My issue is that you don't just grab a horse and jump on, there is considerable preparation that should be done before you get on. A horse (or donkey) that is truly prepared, mentally and physically, for his first ride will not buck his rider off.
I think you should know thats mean at least break him first it's more fun to ride them properly than be bucked off plus donkeys are stronger than horses they can carry half there weight well horses can only carry a quarter of their weight

It's crazy to try to ride an unbroken donkey with no saddle. They have no withers, no mane, and are often fat. At least these girls were wearing helmets. I wasn't on my "donkey ride" and ended up cutting my head open on rock.

@poniesRdaSHIT oh yea that is a mule,mules come from a horse and yes a donkey and u can tell because of there height.and there legs and how long there ears are there legs are much more skinny then donkeys,and alsoo there hair or there coat,donkeys coat are alot longer,and there ears are longer then normal american or mexican donkeys...and also there tail see there are many diffrences in the mule and donkey life style but yet the look the same :/

Would you ride a 17hh horse if it hadn't ever been ridden before without any basic training or lunging? I think not, so what is so different about this donkey. Yes, he is smaller, but the same principle applies here.
That being said.... I love the donkey. :3
