Or maybe another pipe at the top coming off at an angle, maybe to your right. Have it not so steep so you can put a ball in there and it takes a second to travel. You can then see it drop into what you have there now and be ready in plenty of time.
I am looking to make something like this for fastpitch softball. I'm considering having the ball travel further on the first pipe to give the batter more time to get into position. With yours did you feel rushed?
@WonderMonkey2 I know what you mean. Yeah, I did feel a little rushed til i got used to the timing naturally. I had an idea to make this better by getting some sorta bucket in a high, fixed position. The bucket is connected to the pipe and somehow position the bucket so that you can toss it in the bucket. Did that help?
@slynn11695 I think the diameter is about 3.5" to 4". The ball should easily fit in the pipe, but not too much room around the ball when its in the pipe.
I used some glue and wire to hold it down.
there should be a better way to hold it but i rushed to make this...
Could you do a tutorial on how to make one of these please????

@CannedSoda24 What is the diameter of the PVC and what did you use to hold the wood to the PVC pipe?
