  • no reason arrest . newsvine . com

  • @yodudewassp yes, which means he's British.

  • @yodudewassp Scotland is a part of Great Britain...

  • @pajeroviolador it's a part of the UK because in the 1700s England basically took it over. And there are many Scotts who still resent the Brittish implication in Scottish affairs. Look up the battle of Culloden and try doing a bit more research before you blurt things out.

  • @Ahhhhllie Blurt things out? The fact is, as you yourself stated, that Scotland as of yet is part of the UK, regardless of the inhabitants feelings concerning that or the great deal of autonomy they enjoy at present day. So as for research, perhaps you should do some more into interperting the english language and current events

  • @Ahhhhllie Scotland has its own parliament... England doesn't, the West Lothian question etc etc means Scotland gets more out of Britain than England (the richer country) does. I understand you're not British but trust me... the integration between Scotland and England is to the point were there's hardly much resentment (other than Celtic fans who are inherently idiots) between the common people. Bit more modern reseatch before you blurt things out ;)

  • McCain recorded a song? "John Mccain - Suspending the Campaign"

  • "the damn British?"

    someone's in denial.

  • Craig Ferguson is a bigger and better American than most of America.

  • This may be the only time in youtube history that a "first!" comment would be acceptable.

  • THUMBS UP if Craig Ferguson should be in Carson's throne of the Tonight Show.

    Leno sucks

  • in your pants

  • This deserves an, "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" with two fingers

  • i think mccain's kids are in their fifties lmao

  • McCain suspended his campaign to vote for the bank Bailouts. the banks thanked him by stuffing 1.1 mllion dfollars in McCain's pocket so he could run "Character Matters" TV ads against his far superior conservative Senate Challenger JD Hayworth.

  • To egamssadab: One more. It was the founding fathers who chose to UNITE the STATES to form a federal government (big) from the multiple (smaller) state governments. Read your Jefferson.

Oh, and nine of the men who signed the Declaration of Independence were Scots.

  • To: Egamssadab, again. Sorry but we don't call Native Americans "Asian Indians" either. WE know that they are not all of Asian descent, some migrated from the South American continent and some from the North from First Peoples of Alaska and Canada.

Um...Columbus couldn't have called them "Americans" either because it wasn't called America yet.

You might want to get a bit more educated yourself before you call anybody else ignorant.

  • To egamssadab: 1) How you identify yourself is the only thing that matters [Native Americans refer to themselves by their 'nation' or 'tribe']; 2) The Scots have their own Parliment and will gain independence; 3) IQ? You need to read "How the Scots Invented the Modern World", including Encyclopedia Britainica; 4) that the English legalized R--A-P-E, does not make it something to be proud of; and 5) you just inferred that a low IQ was due to English genes. Well, that one I'll give you.

  • you know man, braveheart wasn't all true.

  • wow... copy paste. That's all you seem to know? well congratulation on learning that far.

  • Did the post you reply mention Indian? Nope. Did I mention I was smart? Nope. Was I insulting you in the previous post? Nope. WTF are you talking about? You think I don't know who is Columbus? And if he was so dumb, you probably think you can do better, eh? Go grab a boat and get across the Atlantic without GPS or radio, then we have a real talk. And you keep talking about Indian in each of your post... Open a dictionary and search for indian you moron.

  • And again you are wrong: Sometimes "Native Indian" called themselves Indian. Open a dictionary if you are that dumb.

  • No you are an immature idiot: They are called "Native American" or "American Indians". And sometimes people call themselves Indian or mix them up together into "Native American Indians". And most important: SO WHAT? You want to argue about English now? That's how dumb a conversation you want to have with people? And you are accusing me of drama when you are the one insulting me? It is past your bedtime.

  • BTW, vanished001 never talked about people from India. I don't know where you get that notion that he was confusing Native indian with people from india. And the reason why he is supporting the "2 party political charade of choice" is simply because there are only 2 real choices in this country. On other clip, he mentioned how much he wish for more political choices than these 2 parties. Anyhow this is a comedy show. Either you like it or move on. I advice you the latter. It is clearly not for u

  • Your family, me, and Craig Ferguson came to the US for various reasons. You don't own this country. Nobody have to follow your idea. If you don't like America, maybe you should go where you like it. I personally like big government but that's not what Craig nor Obama mentions so far. As a matter of fact Craig didn't mention if he like Obama or McCain. As a comedian, he will joke on where the jokes can be found.

And the freedom of speech also allow me to say how much I dislike your last 3 posts.

  • @Egamssadab Foreigner? he's an American citizen. Unless you're a Native American Indian someone from your family tree emigrated to America the same as Craig Ferguson did so get your facts straight before you insult someone. This man is a great man a comedic genius and an all around patriot, an American on purpose as the book is titled. Read the book he wrote before spewing your ignorance over the internet for the world to read.

  • Craig's way funnier than Dave. Dave's just a suckup who wants a lot of mullah. not that no one else would. he's... a professional suckup

  • I love how modest this guy is.

  • haha i like the comparison of McCain to the most infamous dictators in history :D

    oh criag :DD

  • what is it with everyone saying Craig isn't British, Scotland is one half of the UK, the other is England, and Wales and Northern Ireland and a few rocks make up the rest.

  • Scotland is one of the oldest nations in the world and it's people can't be raped of their identity by ignorance!

  • Comment removed

  • Well I'm Scottish and live in Leith and consider myself Scottish not british as I'm sure Craig does or did now that he's an American as his father supported a truly independent Scotland. We have a pro-independence government in power at present and are due a vote on our independence this year( however now it may be next). britain/british is an imperialistic term, hence the british empire, which once encompassed America, Americans being deemed british subjects by those in power in England.

  • My middle name is Johnston. I've never quite figured out of that is Scottish or irish. Any ideas?

  • though i like conan craig is funnier with more class...

  • I am so glad that Craig is an Americam.

  • So glad you can't even spell it right

  • Why do you call me stupid? You are the one who didn't even spelled the word American right when commenting about your proudness of him being American...

  • Don't you know how to see irony in a situation? This situation was ironic...

As far as living as long as you, I can guess by your vocabulary that I'm already older than you.

  • i cant believe som1 so funny has to be on the late late show

  • 0:11 again and again. just trust me.

  • good call mate

  • Craig is so awesome. He really makes good sense, while being funny.

  • I think what he's trying to say is that democracy should come first.

  • LETS NOT FORGET why mccain suspended his campaign. He did it for the "economy" and WE ALL NOW KNOW his visit to washington was basically bullshit.

  • Craig, welcome to America. We NEED citizens like you!

  • Fergeson>Fallon. I think that Craig is funnier than Conan, David(although I like him) and Fallon combined. Thats just my opinion though.

  • Because, unlike yourself, they possess a real sense of humor.

  • hes an american now. country of immigrants you wackos

  • hes scottish

  • you say that as though british and scottish are the same thing! they are not!

  • you obviously don't watch the show enough to see that he talks about his scottish heritage a lot and how he constantly pokes fun at the british.

  • I am English, Ferguson is Scottish. We are both British!

  • He so Fucking funny, theres only one problem, its so late.... but its worth every single minute i stay awake.

  • i hope he replaces letterman when he retires

  • Craig rocks!

  • I love your show.

  • I agree with vessel199 and rafalweb.

Craig Ferguson and Jay Leno are the only two late night hosts I watch....

  • I find Glenn Beck to be the funniest person on TV. =)

  • The funniest host on late night TV, funnier than O'Brien, and those other two. He needs more exposure, b/c he's hilarious.

  • Dammit you're hilarious!

  • Ferguson is the king of late night as far as I'm concerned.

Fallon, on the other hand, just looks uncomfortable up there, its hard to watch.

  • yeah, fallon looks completely starstruck all the time.

  • @vessel199 I agree; Craig always looks like he's having fun and his interviews are hilarious and random :)

  • Craig is the best of the talk show hosts. He is so funny. I wish his show was longer. I know that it's sacrilege but to me he is way better than Letterman and light years ahead of Conan and Fallon and the rest of those hacks. And by the way, some Irish are pretty funny.

  • Except I'm pretty sure he's Scottish...

  • because he got 100% on his citizenship test?

  • a lot of people say that jimmy fallon's debut was rocky. they also said that conan had one too, but he turned it around. if u think fallon can do the same thing, ur wrong. when conan was trying to turn it around, there was no late late show so thats why he didnt get fired. now that fergusons getting a lead in the ratings over fallon, fallon might be gone sooner than we expect

  • It's awesome, because he's scottish, and I'm scottish. We're hilarious, we know

  • Finns are funny too. Scots are funny, but so are Finns.

  • I can't wait to see his Comedy Central special

  • When will that special be on? I would love to see it.

  • this is my desire, that men & women can come here, & love , embrace the nation, i served in our military , he did not, yet his whit is enough to welcome him in, he is a brilliance that surpasses stardom, crag is a rock, craig is just a new spelling old an older scot name. god bless his soul, for we need to laugh, & he is awesome.

  • Craig Ferguson is a U.S. citizen. He considers himself to be an american, and is a lot more proud to be an american than many U.S. citizens who were born in america...

  • i agree he sounds proud to be american, bt i think hes equally as proud to be scottish, nt sumthin that would ever leave him

  • 'British' bashing is kinda deemed acceptable coz nowadays (post colonial era) the notion of being 'British' is only really used when you're filling out your passport form or other formal document. Slaging the 'English' would be more dangerous ground. I think Craig has found a city&country where he genuinely wants to be. 'Scottishness' is part of his personality and humour - I can't believe people have posted comments about his accent! Its a big world out there - embrace it!

  • just wondering i'm not an American i've never seen the late late show but he's a scot right?

so why did he say we did ever suspend it for the damn British if he is British

  • What in the hell ARE you talking about?

  • i love Craig. he is my favorite talkshow host!!!

    LOVE HIM!!!

  • Im glad he's a naturalized citizen now. He's much more of a informed productive citizen than the overwhelming majority of natural-born Americans.

Americans take the brilliance of our Constitution for granted. Thats why we are in such bad shape as we are today.

  • check your history

  • i have and still can find little evidence of scotsman ranting to americans, its usually the otherway around annoyingly

  • He's an legitimate American Citizen. He took the oath Feb 2, 2008.

  • a legitimate american citizen born in scotland, that makes you scottish, oath or no oath

  • Actually, it makes you American. It also, if you like, makes you Scottish-American.

  • this depends on how you define nationality

  • It is kind of funny to here someone with a Scottish accent using the word we when talking to Americans. I know that Craig is an American citizen now and he has lived in America long enough that he has every right to do so. But you have to admit...he still sounds like a Scotsman. And that is what makes you scratch you're head a bit at first.

  • exactly, and in my eyes he still remains a scotsman, ive got not idea why i keep getting so many thumbs down for saying that

  • I agree that there's a bit of awkwardness to it, but he's completely legit. He's legal and naturalized, he just hasn't taken speech classes to work out the accent. Actually, If i were him, I'd keep the accent- It's unique and different.

  • I am sure that he will keep the accent. He has said that he is very proud of his heritage. And he's already been here 10 years...if he hasn't lost it already...he probably never will.

  • I don't see anything wrong with that. I mean that's how America was born, right? People immigrated from other parts of the world and BECAME Amercicans.

  • OK guys...it's not an argument about whether on not Craig is American or not. Everyone acknoledges that he is in fact an American citizen. And yes America was born from immigrants.

It's just an idle comment that it's funny at first to hear someone obviously from Scotland count themselves amongst the American. There is a bit of cognitive dissonance you have to admit.

  • Actually the whole basis for the American revolutionary thinker's ideas came from theories developed during the Age of Enlightenment, which in turn was largely started by french and SCOTTISH theologians. These ideas were then taken across to the colonies in America by Scottish settlers and traders, so there is a history of Scottish people telling americans what to do.

  • one instance does not constitute a history

  • it wasnt just one instance it was people travelling across the atlantic and spreading the word over and over again. I'm not trying to have an argument here, don't start trying to be a smart arse.

  • despite not trying to have an arguement you're doing a pretty good job, and conveying a persons point of view on a particular subject doesn't make them a smart arse

  • by tha way i hate mccain ferguson is funny as hell hes awesome

  • Who is David Letterman?

  • Lol! You can't even enjoy a real joke -- this is relevant to the monologue, how?

  • I love it how even when i'm in a sad mood craig makes me laugh, its just impossible to keep a straight face when I watch him.

Keep doing what you do Craig!

  • Perhaps he'll consider adopting me. Or at the least, a tour of universities and colleges to tell kids to make up their own damned minds and stop being sold ideas by charismatic video makers who definitely absolutely positively have no formal ties to the party they're supporting...they don't, right?

  • Such sentiments are uttered under one's breath while clicking to something else. There are multiple other viewing options to choose from--but only two behavior options: everything in life is either good manners, or bad manners. (Simple enough rule for even the simplest of minds to grasp.) When monosyllabic public comments indicate that a troglodyte's speaking, the "manners" designation clearly falls into the latter category. Once you learn this, then you will be able to come out of your cave.

  • Maybe your shit for calling him shit you stupid shit

  • shut tha hell up mccain lost anyway

  • Whoa man theyres no reason to buff up your speech like that- just speak your mind unedited.

  • It really bothers me that the camera is looking down at him. It makes him look small. It is a very subtle detail but definitely noticeable.

  • Did anybody notice any repetition in this skit? ^^

  • *giggles furiously*

  • people are funny in different ways, craig ferguson is funny in a very saucy way, and yes he is funny to me, maybe not that funny to some people as people like different styles of comedians but that's his style, take it or leave it as simple as that. although what i find most entertaining about craig is when he talks with his guests.

  • he's hilarious. i watch his show every night and it makes me laugh SO hard.

  • You know, the job of a talk show host isn't necessarily to provide you with chuckles. It's a TALK show, not a daily 10-minute standup comedy routine.

  • sarcasm has never been the strength of americans...

  • Surely you're not that dumb...wait...you made the comment, it's written right there...sorry, my mistake--I guess you are, then!

  • Why, because I don't find REALLY LOUD TALKING very funny?

  • Yah, hating people for thinking differently isn't perverse at all.

  • lol jackyfan down there preaching about the bible as he's yelling on about how much he hates people!lol

  • MaxG65, I was replying to your criticism of "kanooks" for "sticking their noses" in our business, when we (the USA) have made a career out of doing exactly that. Maybe you could google "Nicaragua + death squads" or "Iraq + war of choice". We have made economic colonies of the Middle East and Latin America for longer than you (or I, for that matter) have been alive.

  • Obatman vs. McJoker

    See it on my channel!

  • OBAMA!!!!!

  • Even though I know Obama will steal my car, I rather vote for him than an old man that might fall asleep while delivering a speech.

Besides, college will be cheaper with Obama.

  • hahahahaha is he a muslim ?? you are sick in your mind.

  • what the shit? are you another one of those closed minded Christian who cannot think for yourself? I hate people like you. If makes me sick that Christ has died for sins of people like you. If perverses what the Holy Bible has to teach.

  • i'd give it a thumbs up but apparently i can't?

  • This is the work of media. He promised them something. When I post comments they do not like they do not publish it. US media is the worst than any third world media. There is no democracy here. Forget it!

  • OBAMA/BIDEN '08 !!!

  • Oh, you mean like in Latin America? Iraq?

  • HUH?

  • Scotland is an independant nation just like (most of) Ireland...God help Wales and Cornwall...

  • No it's not. Scotland is part of the UK. If Scotland's First Minister has his way though, we will be independent.

  • mccain SUCKS

  • preach it, brother.

  • he is semi correct in his statements but 100% more correct then most of the shit on tv. the only reason this gets through is that people tend to care less what comedians say then a reporter

  • OBAMA/BIDEN 'O8

  • MCCAIN/BIDEN 08

    WOOOOOOOOO

there both old and sexy enough said

  • Take that politicions!

  • yay mccain surrendered!

  • "So when he sais "we" even though hes an american citizen it siunds kid if weird coming from a britishguy."

Um... so you can't have an accent in this country if you're going to be considered an American citizen? What kind of backwards, closed-minded thinking is that?

  • That's not what i was meant, I was just saying he speaks of the british as if hes not one.("we didnt suspend it for the damn british")when he is, hes scottish, yes hes an american citizen which is fine by me, but hes british nationallity, most of his life hes just been a scottish guy.

Nothing to do with an accent,

  • First of all, you are a retard. He does not hide the fact he's British.

Second, you are double retard because he's not even British. He's from Scotland.

Third, he is an American Citizen, not an American, he is proud to be Scottish. Get your facts right before you start writing bull shitt.

  • Scotland is in britain along with Wales and England!

  • 'British' is not a nationality. Just like 'European' isn't a nationality. It's purely political. I have a British passport, but I'm English.

  • Thank you for that!

  • Obama 08

  • Correct Craig.

    no suspending the campaign.

McCain should have realized he just ran his election into a ditch, and left the damn thing suspended.

What a joke he is now.

  • OBAMA/BIDEN '08 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mccain STOPPED HIS CAMPAIGN IN ORDER TO GIVE palin TIME TO PREPARE FOR THE DEBATE HE KNEW SHE WOULD BE A DISASTER IF THEY DIDNT GIVE HER A CHANCE TO MEMORIZE TALKING POINTS AND BE COACHED...mccain WHAT A LYING, CONNIVING, PHONY PILE OF DOGSHIT...HE THINKS YOU ARE ALL IDIOTS AND HES THE SMARTEST GUY IN THE ROOM...FRAUD!

  • What is wrong with you! It's a joke! And he suspended it for the financial bail out.

  • Sorry if that first sentence offended you.
