  • Dear Apple,

Y U KNO PUT THIS ON LION ?!

  • mejor que la ventana

  • How many years did it take to render, Apple?

  • @mustafaahmedani I guess 10 mins?

  • @mustafaahmedani a couple years....its still trying to...

  • I get my macbook air for 3 weeks to get

  • let's make sure we bring the mac intro to life with the new OS X Mountain lion! Like and paste this comment in apple videos! let's make sure that our message is heard! let's bring the mac intro back to life!

  • @GeorgeChar95 Hopefully it's something new and unique.

  • pranked my friend with this because he thought i reset the whole mac! it was so funny! :D

  • remember when i had my first mac and this intro just seems so touching.

  • 1.Welcomw 2.Velkommen 3.Welkom 4. Look at these words, to see the words in the movie
  • This is probably the most epic thing I've seen. Ever.

  • mac is an expensive crap. with 700 $ you buy a better pc

  • @sotiroyklas Lol I like pc's and macs, I would love to see this $700 dollar pc.

  • @sotiroyklas Fuck off, Mac is better for the internet, Windows owns Mac game wise.

  • Apple Mac osx is finally better than windows.

  • @rockdude094 I disagree... and actually I believe OS X Lion doesn't have this intro... I'd rather go right into finishing my installation than watch a 45-50 second introduction, that doesn't say anything other than Welcome!

  • @CJCA915 I'd rather watch a 45-50 second introduction, than watch a 2 minute loading screen

    Sincerely, a Windows User

  • @UglyMotherfucker114 2 minute loading screen? With an SSD Windows loads in seconds... even with my HDD Windows doesn't take 2 minutes to load...

  • @CJCA915 We're talking about the loading time when starting the installation, my windows also boots in less than a minute, but when starting the installation it takes longer to load.

  • @UglyMotherfucker114 Well, this video is after you install OS X... not before... in equivalent terms this intro comes before you set up user accounts, etc. but after you install Windows itself.

  • @CJCA915 Yes, but have you ever installed windows? the first boot-up (for the set-up assistant) takes a lot longer than the normal boot.

My PC normaly boots in 56 seconds (timed) and 2 minutes with the set-up assistant (approximately), I would be much more entertained if I could watch a welcome movie while I wait for the assistant to load

  • @UglyMotherfucker114 Yes, I've installed Windows... I use Windows 7...

Well, yes, the first boot takes the longest, but I'd rather see what my computer is doing rather than some Welcome! Intro...

  • @CJCA915 Well, depends on your POV, I'd like a movie better, if you like a progressbar, windows is probably best for you :)

  • apple needs to bring back the Intro Video in the next Mac OS X 10.8 Release....

  • So good !!! :D :D :D

  • 0:22

  • Is it possible to get this video playing every time i turn on my macbook pro? :D

  • @Mnikita7cool I wish :o

  • apple didn't even use their own dang software to make this

  • Where I can get that tempate for video editing program?

  • my mac did this, but it didn't play this song

  • wish lion came with a welcome vid as good as this :(

  • I want 3D of that video

  • anyone notice when u pause the video theres snowflakes?

  • i don't care what anyone says i could watch this for hours lol

  • i wish lion change the white screen to the snow leapord first boot every time you boot up it would be pretty in entertaining

  • I just got my iMac and it didn't play this at the begging

  • @tony12345pl If it came with Lion, which no doubt it did, I think they removed the intro...

  • @CJCA915 NO MY MacBook Pro Late 2011 had the song

  • @losh1212 Well, all I know is that Lion no longer has this intro... I don't own an Apple computers, so I can't be certain of what exactly changed...

  • @CJCA915 you..... you need an apple computer...

  • @CJCA915 I'd get sick of it if it happened every time you turned the Mac on but since it only happened when you would set it up, I'm fine by that :)

  • @DRaMa2189 Well, I guess I just like getting my computer up and running asap... the video is rather pointless to me...

  • I'm so glad I was able to experience this with my Mac. Sucks that future Mac owners won't.

  • @DRaMa2189 Personally, I'd get tired of it... I don't want to see "Welcome!" in 6+ different languages...

Why not, Apple doing away with it?

  • @CJCA915 You realise this only happens once yes?

  • @HockadayIX Yes, but seeing it every time you get a new Apple computer, would get old...especially at the rate at some of these fanboys buy new crap.

  • @DRaMa2189 First time for me today and It was awesome!!

  • Comes once in a life time...

  • @AwesomeAwkwardArnel What does?

  • @CJCA915 death

  • @QPLOKIJNM ...

  • Does anybody know where I can get one with no text

  • @lemonhead118 You can try requesting it from Apple, but good luck.

  • @CJCA915 I don't think that will work

  • @lemonhead118 Yea, then you're just out of luck.

  • Why windows dont do these kind of things...

  • @invaliidi269 I'm glad Microsoft doesn't do this in Windows, because I don't want to see Welcome! in a dozen different languages... while users are watching this, I'm already finalizing my user settings...

  • @CJCA915 I rather like it, it's entertaining.

  • @Dell0304 I think it's unnecessary...

  • @CJCA915 It's only 50 seconds long, and it's a good thing to see to make sure you've installed OS X right.

    Also it looks cool.

  • @laurabobwo Yea, almost a minute... a minute one could be finalizing their computer...

If I get to the part where I can enter my personal information in Windows, which admittedly isn't as personal as OS X... with your address, etc. then I know Windows is installed correctly... I don't need a video...

  • @CJCA915 Yeah, but for people who are using a Mac, or a computer for that matter, for the first time, they would rather see a cool intro rather than a blue screen for a minute. The video is actually covering up the time it takes for the setup assistant to start. They might also panic when seeing a blue screen and press the power button repeatedly, wrecking the computer.

  • @laurabobwo What blue screen, there is no blue screen during Windows 7 setup... at least not to me... after it reboots for the last time after finalizing Windows for first use, the Windows 7 wallpaper loads, with the dialog for the time zone, etc. setup... I see no blank blue screen...

  • @CJCA915 No, no on the Windows 7 setup, on the Mac OS X Setup. The setup assistant takes a minute to start, so instead of having a blue screen for that time, they have an intro.

  • @laurabobwo Well, that's their issue.

With Windows, I guess it depends on your system... after the last reboot, to finalize everything, it usually comes right up after reboot... now if you install it on an older machine, yea it might take a minute or so...

  • @CJCA915 Windows 7 doesn't have a setup assistant. It has a setup executable. Mac OS X's setup assistant takes a minute to start because there's more in it then Windows 7's. You configure everything right there instead of having to do it later. Windows 7's also takes a minute to start. The first boot up is longer because the executable is starting. To the average eye, it comes up right after reboot, but then you notice that the boot takes twice as long.

  • @laurabobwo I've installed OS X in Vmware, which skips the intro for some reason, I guess it's a result of running OS X in a virtual environment...

You boot into OS X setup, go through all that, restart, then you get the intro, then you get that stuff for your name, address, etc.

You boot into Windows 7's setup, go through all that, which is rather simple, it restarts a few times, while it finalizes Windows for first use, and then it loads the last part, which doesn't include all that crap...

  • ... that OS X includes, with the option for mobile me, and all that personal information of your state, country, etc. you never have to enter that stuff in Windows... in Windows, you choose how you want to handle updates, activate Windows if necessary, choose time zone, and 2 or 3 other things, it's rather shorter than OS X's after the intro stuff.

  • @CJCA915 Yeah but eventually you have to enter it anyways. Like for Windows anytime upgrade, "Please enter your country, language and state/province to use Windows anytime upgrade."

  • @laurabobwo Well,. I usually purchase the top of the top in Windows, for example, I got the Windows 7 Ultimate... so I don't need to worry about that...

  • @CJCA915 For some other things too. I can't name any, but I know there is some. And Apple only wants that information so they can direct you too a Apple Store close to you if you need repair or a Genius Bar. Also for iTunes so they can show you songs, movies and shows that are popular in your area.

  • I like this music so much ;)

  • R.I.P.

    Steve Jobs

    1955-2011

  • slowly watch the e and n of Velcommen

  • @LOLMASTER632 why?

  • i like the pc and mac 100% both

  • @EliKnowWonder72 Well, I like an OS, not the computer itself... unless it's nice looking... and Apple's computers as far as their physical designs tend to be a bit bland for my taste.

  • Rest in Peace Steve...

  • Is there any particular reason why you are not allowing this video to be played on iPhones? I'm in awe of the fact that YouTube even added such a feature for uploaders.. then again it was probably made to force users into watching videos on their computers as to not miss out on all the advertisements..... dick move.

  • @dmix09 Because I don't want uploads on my channel watched on mobile devices...

The feature is for content providers... just like companies control where their material is shown, YT has given it's users something similar... even if the video here itself is not mine... I don't allow any videos uploaded on my channel to be viewed on mobile devices...

  • At least, mobile devices that can fit in your pocket...

Besides, this isn't the only Intro video uploaded here on YT...

  • 1 person has pc

  • @crashbandicoot4everr So do I.

  • @CJCA915 me too but my pc has snow leopard installed ;)

  • This ones the best!

  • Welcome is the best :3

  • Welkom:)

  • polish your fucking writing

  • @ELFERNANDO17 huh?

  • I wrote in Polish. I meant that the present is,, Hello, Polish:)

  • Po polsku nie ma jak zwykle :(

  • @zielinproduction I have no clue what you just said.

  • @CJCA915 I wrote in Polish. I meant that there is,, Hello, Polish:)

  • @zielinproduction oh, ok.

  • @CJCA915 he said "there are no polish"

    But there are Russian!!

    YAY! :D

    Добро пожаловать, хуле :D

  • There is a subtle difference between Leopard's and Snow's. Leopard's is slower.

  • @Jk981206 Don't believe me? Watch them side by side.

  • @Jk981206 Well, this is the actual Snow Leopard Intro, that I got from running Snow Leopard in VMware Workstation.

  • @CJCA915 Yeah, I was just pointing out that leopard's intro is slower compared to this one.

  • You get reactions now on YouTube

  • I made this video my wallpaper

  • 0:00

  • i'm gonna miss this !

  • @ricardonobregaX Why, isn't it in Lion as well?

  • @CJCA915 no -.-

  • @ricardonobregaX New intro?

  • @CJCA915 worst, NO INTRO -.-

  • @ricardonobregaX Fine with me, while OS X users are watching that after OS X is installed, I'm already setting up Windows...

  • @CJCA915 :3 I added a reaction: EPIC

  • @rossb654 huh?

  • @CJCA915 it never gets old for me :D

  • @rossb654 Well, while you're watching a 45-50 second video before setting up your computer in OS X, I after Windows setup, go right into finalizing information, like the time zone, etc.

Plus, I don't get prompted to enter all that information, like full name, address, etc. nor do I get offers to try things like Mobile Me, or w/e, or other stuff like that.

Of course, OEM's get a version of Windows setup, that they can tailor to their computers, hence all that crap they add after setup.

  • @CricketMoment Well, I only got this, because I installed OS X in VMware, lol.

  • @CricketMoment meh, after seeing it half a dozen times, it does get old.

  • i had orgasm..

  • omfg hackintosh, get a mac or use windows 7, both ways a win

  • @virginboy92 Actually this video was made in Windows, by getting the video and audio from within OS X, I believe I was running OS X in VMware... the screen and window that pops up at the end is really just an image that I animated...

  • thumbs up if you played this full screen whishing you had a mac and not a PC

  • @jmass67 Thumbs up on comments are disabled...

However, you can easily have this on a "PC" as OS X will run just fine on a non-Apple based computer, with minor tweaking... provided you have an Intel based computer...

  • @CJCA915 sadly i have a AMD Phenom prosscer... ive tried to partition the disk before

  • @jmass67 Yea, getting OS X to work on a AMD processor takes a little more work...

  • @CJCA915 Am I the only one having trouble getting Hazard OSX? The link keeps on saying it's broken.

  • @CowboyDiplomacy What link?

  • @CJCA915 the link on the leohazard com website to download the hack for os x. I used to have a virtual hackintosh, and I broke it, then I couldnt find the iso on my computer anymore. Went to download it again, can't get to it. Does it have to do with the fiasco between Comcast and Pirate Bay?

  • @CowboyDiplomacy I'm not sure, I'll look into it later.

  • @CowboyDiplomacy I get a 404 Error File Not Found when I click download on leohazard...

You might be able to find another torrent that's available.

  • wow watchin this in HD and full screen makes you feel like you're travelling through space! I wonder how cool it must be turn on a Mac for the 1st time!

  • @mruppel2 Yea, but seeing this every time you get a new Apple computer, would get annoying to me after a while.

  • @CJCA915 Wow I never had a Mac computer so I don't have any idea... Too expensive here where I live.

  • @mruppel2 Me either, but I've seen enough videos on here of people's first boots, and I now, I just skip that part, because it's the same to me, lol.

  • @mruppel2 Yeah I can understand that. That happens to me, with videogames. First time you turn on some consoles have a pretty boot screen, but after some time it loses it's charm =)

  • The Song is: Honeycut - Exodus Honey

  • Awwwww!Nice Apple;crazy computers! I'm Apple's worm !

  • What is The Lanuage at 0:12?

  • @KayakServer Japanese.

  • Thumbs up if you were reaching the mouse to press Continue at the end. LOL.

  • The song is Exodus Honey Honeycut

  • @TheRealDaftPunk It's Called Exodus Honey by Honeycut.

  • Play this on full screen on your Mac and imagine your experiencing it for the first time again <3 :L

  • @scotkid100 I'd get tired of seeing this every time I got a new computer from Apple, etc. which is why I like Windows more.

  • @CJCA915 I think they will have a NEW one with the FINAL VERSION of Lion NOT the BETA

  • @scotkid100 lol allt though...

its a little slower then it would be on your first boot up on a intel Mac

  • Apple Commercial Song (Exodus Honey)

  • @TheRealDaftPunk This song is Exodus Honey performed by Honeycut

  • la canzone si chiama Apple Commercial Song (Exodus Honey)

  • @TheRealDaftPunk It calls "Exodus Honey" by Honeycut

  • @TheRealDaftPunk I have no clue what song it is, but it's an already existing song, I've heard it before.

  • @CJCA915 The song is: Exodus Honey - Honeycut

  • The song is awesome, have anybody made a full version or sumtin?

  • @HasteTheDays Yes, this song is made from a song that already exists, lol.

  • @HasteTheDays Honeycut - Exodus Honey is the song you're after.

  • It would be so awesome if you could upload this in 1080p :D

But this is still quite awesome as it is O_O

  • @deltanalliance Well, the video itself is 1008 x 630, stretching it that much to be 1080p would be a bit extreme.

  • @CJCA915 Wow, I wonder why Apple would use such weird video dimensions...

  • @deltanalliance Who knows, lol.

  • @CJCA915 probly because half the Macbooks out there with Intel GMA 950 crap-hics can't play 1080p media xD

  • @deltanalliance lol, haha.

  • @deltanalliance i installed OSX 10.5 on my G4 mac mini and this video stuttered horribly

  • @HQA0 Think of it this way: The ATI Radeon 9200 of the older generation Mac Mini will outperform the GMA 950 used in some future generations.

    Intel graphics (craphics?) ftl

  • @deltanalliance yeah lol, i got a core 2 duo mac mini 2.53ghz now and a month later they announce the new mac mini. Great

  • @HQA0 I think they still use Core 2 Duo's, the update would be in the graphics for the new mac minis.

  • @deltanalliance yes mine has the 9400m

  • lack of sharpness? this is really nice quality!

i just love this intro =]

  • @4N0NYM0U557 If you pause it certain spots, the quality is pitiful, and I published this video with a bit rate of 6000kbps.

Looks great before uploading, but YT and their shitty coding, ugh. lol.
