  • elbows should angle down further towards the waist, this demo is targeting anterior delts mostly. Luv the breathing example though, and the lead links into other body parts is great

  • as some one as tried these, doing these the correct way with ur stomach tucked, it is super hard if u do about 10-20 reps, it really works the back.

  • Wats the difference between doing REPS really fast and doing them slow ?

  • @TheNilan92 When it's fast, you're usually using the momentum to do it. When you do it slow, you're using your muscles with no momentum and you do the exercise to its fullest use.

  • @TheNilan92 I believe there is an effect, but it won't be as big as when you do it slow and controlled.

  • @TheNilan92 I believe if you do it fast there's a cardio effect, and your heart rate is increased. If you do it fast and do a lot more reps, I think it works more on muscular endurance than muscular strength. I'm no fitness expert though :p. What are you trying to obtain, bigger muscles?

  • @TheNilan92 Doing them slow means your using more anaerobic muscle power, because you rely purely on strength, not on muscle stamina. Also you'll feel that the rep is heavier because your muscle wont get any help from the swing you make when you do a rep fast. Doing reps fast will use aerobic muscle and therefore concentrate on the stamina of the muscle and the explosive power. None the less, you shouldn't do them really fast or really slow, but do them just normal: the perfect balance :)

  • @SS4EVER2012 yes.. i think it's something related to a heart, you get like a heart problems.. :) but i am not sure.. i use to do oposite of breathing on the video.. than i started to breath like in the video and i didn't take much to get used on it.. :D sorry for my bed english..

  • Hey why P4P haven't created are workout for a..... Cardio. Best cardio exercises about 12 minutes, to burn some stomach fat. I want it, cause abs never show up if there are fat, you got to burn that fat.

  • not bad but to get the maximum from this exercise one must elevate the feet on the bench not the knees. used to do this exercise all the time in basic.

  • @AceOHeart this is one part of a whole chest workout that you do all of the workouts on ur knees, if most the ppl that do it are like me I could barely do it on my knees, but over time I am doing parts of the workout on my feet to increase the difficulty

  • Haha this girl in my class when she's doing "push-ups" she gets on her knees WITH her feet touching the ground and moves her head up and down. It's really hilarious

  • Great exercise, but what about the height of the bench?

  • @jules465 a normal bench would be fine i guess, but it doesnt have to be a bench, it can be a couch or a chair. i use my couch at home and it works just fine.

  • @anchor213 Do NOT hold your breathe! For the love of all things, that is the last thing you want to do when exercising! Just try to breathe regularly. A lot of people insist on this "Inhale as you go down, exhale as you go up", but why? There isn't a benefit to it. Breathe how your body tells you you need to breathe.

  • @Nerevar1990 I agree. When it comes to breathing while strenuous activity, there isn't any rule that's set in stone. Everyone discovers eventually the best breathing technique that works for me. Ironically enough, the breathing technique described in this vid happens to be the same way that I breathe.

  • @Nerevar1990 Whenever you perform a movement that compresses your diaphram, like a squat or a crunch, you should ensure you breath out during the compression part of the movement. This is to prevent the diaphram being stretched by a lung full of air, creating what is known as a ' drum belly ', as seen in a lot of weight lifters. With movements that don't compress your midsection it's not so important.

  • @Nerevar1990 The reason you inhale as you go down and exhale as you go up is because when you go to exhale it movtivated you to push up. its like a little boost.

  • @Abdelhak92izi to make it a bit harder, instead of standing on the knees, streatch the legs with ur feet on the bench, as you keep the body straight you'll also be training ur abs a litle.
