  • that game was greatest robbery in the history of the NFL.

  • @pedroj21 AMEN

  • @foxfire1112

    Bull.

  • @AllPro777 u must not have eyes to think that wasnt a fumble.. I feel for you my eyeless friend ;)

  • @foxfire1112

Even with me being "eyeless" I can still read an NFL rulebook and find the tuck rule. It appears that Raiders fans and general Patriots/Brady haters have both eyes, but can't read a rulebook because they're totally illiterate, lol.

  • @AllPro777 Well I nvr said it was the wrong call, its just obviously a fumble. Right call and a questionable rule, but tough to remove from football. But like I said, if u look at that play and say thats not a fumble, ur blind. And I love the pats and Brady, no joke, prob my favorite player in football and Bill is a genius

  • @foxfire1112

I could easily say you're blind for not seeing that it's a tuck. But there is a larger point to be made: that play alone didn't win the game for the Patriots. The only thing that made it significant was the controversy of it. The Raiders had ample opportunity to stop New England after that and failed. Also, when the Raiders eventually reached the Super Bowl, they got destroyed. So to me, when Raiders fans complain it just falls on deaf ears. Keep in mind, I'm not a Patriots fan.

  • @AllPro777 You can watch the play again and see Brady touch the ball with his other hand. And common sense says thats a fumble, if it looks like a dog and barks like a dog.. well u got it. And lets not get into the superbowl season, Apples and Oranges my friend. Different coach, different Defense, Different team. It comes to no surprise that after reaching the AFC championship game and this game here in 01 that once we lost Coach Gruden, we went back to the pit that is Crappy Oakland teams.

  • @foxfire1112

But that's not the point I'm making. I'm unconcerned with it being a fumble or not, because I see the play as irrelevant to the big picture. The Raiders had ample chance to stop New England after that and they failed. Bringing up the Super Bowl is not "apples and oranges". It's part of the common argument that Raiders fans frequently make about losing this game; the argument that if the tuck situation didn't happen they would've won this & gotten to and/or won Super Bowl 36.

  • @AllPro777 Ya but thats not my argument. I think with a victory here, we would have stood a greater chance of keeping jon gurden. And with our coach who know what the next years could have been. And in the end the play is very relevant in the fact that if the play wasn't reversed, Oakland would have won the game. It Doesn't matter if Pittsburgh would have ended up beating us 48-0 in the championship game we would have won a playoff game, something we havnt done sense 2002 now.

  • @pedroj21

Bull. Raiders lost. Get over it.

  • oh da good ol days

  • Im a die heart patriots fan and even i knew he fumbled the ball but this is karma oakland 26 years in the making at the time of the 1976 game between oakland and new england with that bs roughing the passer call so karma bit them in the ass.

  • Best sports theme ever. Period.

  • this theme owns the new garbage sounding one

  • Ahh the 2001 AFC Semifinals...the Raiders choke again..

  • This was the best NFL intro song.

  • except it was actually the correct call

  • This is much better than the current but the current is still better than the NBC, FOX, and ESPN music. I know many of you will argue for FOX but I find that one annoying.

  • The NFL on NBC is a great theme since it is made by John Williams. The Fox theme is damn good. This one is also good.

However the one CBS has out today is gay.

  • I don't, I'm automatically logged-in when I go to YouTube.

  • What is the name of this song and where can you download it?

  • I have the 2002 AFC Championship and they still used this theme. I know they used it in Super Bowl XXXV but did they use it in Super Bowl XXXVIII (yes, the one with the 'Wardrobe Malfunction' halftime show).

  • The last game they used it in was the Titans Raiders AFC Championship Game in Jan 2003. I remember I was crushed in the next reg. season when they switched. by Super Bowl XXXVIII it was the current Posthumus Zone version.

  • Cool so I have the last game that they used it. Thanks.

  • ITs so much better than the new one. CBS tried to be like Fox by going a bit heavier and all. This was classic. Sadly, as a Raider fan this clip is great becuase of the music, but the game brings back bad demons.

Random fact: the last game that used this music, the 2002 AFC Title Game between the Raiders and Titans. The Raiders have been 19-62 since. Call it the curse of the Posthumus Zone.

  • what's the name of the 2001 theme cuz it is the best one

  • The greatest sports theme of all time. Screw Posthumous Zone.

  • Yeah, this was the last version of this melody before the big change to Posthumous Zone.

  • The current version is gay. This will always be the best. They should go back to it.

  • TailsGuy, im with you all the way. I first heard the theme at Super Bowl XXXV and I fell in love with it. It would be awesome to have more snipets or the whole theme. The best cbs and maybe nfl tv theme ever, a salute to the old but alot more upbeat. What more do you need!

  • The current NFL on CBS theme is gay. I agree this one was the best.

  • Someone upload the full theme. PLEASE!!! SOMEONE PUT UP THE WHOLE FUCKING THEME!!!

    Also, it was a fumble.

  • this was the first year i really watched the NFL and in retrospect it was probably one of the greatest seasons in NFL history. this is without a doubt the greatest sports theme song of all IMO (even better than the CBS college football or FOX themes). i've searched high and low for this specific version but no luck.

  • Greatest game ever. Much like "The Catch" the "Tuck Rule" started the Dynasty.

  • p.s. i hated that fuckin game lol

  • I still think it was a fumble....

  • hahaha cuz it was, niner, charger, even patriot fans addmit it was a fumble..u a raider fan??

  • LOL....I'm neither. I'm a Jags fan, but it was just messed up how that one play could have costed u guys the championship..I like this music better than the new theme music they got now.....

  • oic dats coo..man u guys fuckin killd us i aint even gna lie, but its all good, i jus didnt like wat ur fans did wen sapp got kikd out..but man ur team pist me off dis past weekend, i was hella goin 4 dem, i fuckin HATE tha patriots

  • Thats how we do in Duval County!!!..lol. They played pretty good against the pats...you just can't trade field goals for TDs against the pats......

  • hahaha yea u guys did whope our ass no dout about it, n yea u guys did play good, but fuck i hate tha fuckin pats im gettin sick of them winning, ay u live n jacksonville??

  • The Chargers are your only hope...lol. The jags need maybe one more big play WR in the draft. I live just south of J-ville....u in oakland?

  • naw hopefully tha packers win cuz dere a pretty good team 2 n there ma only hope 2 beat tha pats, i mean yea im goin for SD but dere rep jus kills it cuz they blow it ery yr, n oic is dere even alot of raider fans out there?? n naw i live n tha bay area n oakland is one of tha major cities, right across tha bay r tha gay ass niners, n dwn south of cali is gay ass san diego, tha bay is mixed wit hella diff football fans

  • Haha.....I never been out to Cali but heard it is wild as shit except for San fran and SD.....I know a couple of Raider fans esp since Sapp went over to the west coast. I like Kiffen as the coach and Russell at the Qb if they stay with him...I hope the chargers can at least stay with him and make it a game.

  • lol sum1 told u dat SF n SD r gay?? n yea it is crazy out here, so deres a few raider fans out there?? russell i like, hopefully hes ALOT better nxt yr b/c he missed alot dis yr, training camp n erything, n gay ass chargers im not suprised they lost

  • Yeah, they said dont fuck with SD or SF...lol. Whats up with Al Davis already wanting to get rid of Kiffin...damn, the guy just finished his first season and davis wants kiffin's head on a silver platter..hahaha

  • man fuck SF n SD dey aint shit, fuckin SF went through 4 QB's this yr, n cuz it seems like kiffin cant even handle tha team..i jus wana good coach dats gna take us far dats all

  • yea kiffin may be too young for the raiders, but i think he'll be a good coach somewhere else if he leaves. If u guys can get Denny Green that will b huge....who do u think the raiders should draft?

  • im not even sure, we dnt even get tha 1st pic, so shit, but a good offensive line man, cuz our fuckin o-line is fuckin shity as hell, our d-fence was desent but our o-line needs 2 improove

  • Is Robert Gallery still there? I thought he would be a stud for the raiders...he turned out to be a huge bust.....He's up there with Ryan Leaf as the biggest busts of all time, lol.

  • uugghh yea that lil fucker is, fuck that nigga, all he ever did was give us tha same penalties over n over, off sides or false start, i hate him he needs 2 go, him n our QB's andrew walter n josh mccown NEED 2 go

  • this theme go hella hard, it needs 2 come back

  • I miss the total '01-'03 package because it was a rare gem among today's mediocre network TV imaging. The music, voiceover, visuals and graphics complemented each other perfectly. I guarantee this theme would still be on the air today if it weren't for Fox's power anthem, which made this theme sounded anemic, no matter how hard CBS tried to make it better. Posthumus Zone is certainly not very catchy, but it undoubtedly upstaged the Fox theme in terms of building that football drama.

  • 2001-2002 was the best year for the NFL & they need to bring this intro back

  • I loved this theme. To me, this was football. This is so so so so so much better than their current theme!

  • This theme debuted at Superbowl XXXV

  • Actually this verison

  • My team won that SB!

  • i like to get this theme...

  • This theme was basically a reworking of the classic 1992-1993 CBS pro football theme. Here, it was made to sound more whimsical and light-hearted than previously. I believe this was the third reworking of the theme dating back to CBS' return to pro football in 1998.

  • Your right... the re-worked theme they used for the 1999-2000 season (sans: SB 35) was awful, so I was glad they re-did it to produce this; we need to petition CBS to get the current theme off because its so awful

  • this theme is much better than their current theme

  • This is from the infamous "Tuck" game.

I remember passing on doing inventory work at some store, just so I could watch this game. One of the best decisions I've ever made.
