Great work man. I'll go to find all the matherials and start working at this beautiful piece "Robin" ;) PS. Cand I ghive my e-mail on private to send me the pdf if you have it ? Thank alot.
Hey woodpecker, very nice job and very good performance. What grit number of sanding paper did you use to sand the plates. And is it really neccessary to condition the plates first ? I tried to download the pdf that you show in your video, but NO luck. It wouldn't open in adobe, adobe said it was corrupted.
How do you calculate to see if you are OU or not.
5 inner plates plus the two outer plates for Powerconnection.(6 chambers) The theorie says, that the best efficiency occurs with 7 serie chambers (8 plates) at 13,8 V (just under 2 V per cell)But that takes time till the Amperage gets high enough. The good thing with these drycells is, that you can very easily rearrange it and experiment by yourself.
hey.. i like the background music of the video..
what's the name of the song....?

PVC foil is used to build up ponds. You can get it at Centers for Gardening, 4 - 6 m large. 1 mm thick. It´s not the best choice, but the cheapest.

how much hho do you get if you use only 4 or 5 plates and 12 volts?
waterwart 2 years ago
On 12 V i would us at least 6 plates, and the output would be about the half.

You forgot to mention something about the shrink wrap around the bolts...or was it just clear tubing?
waterwart 2 years ago
Yes, it´s just clear tubing!
The more surface area the more gas, but also the more Amps.

hey mater very nice generator, how are the fittings called?

Excellent, for your first cell! The gasket are 1mm.of PVC or special carton paper?
When you tighten screws, this one mm. is reduced?
How many KOH 2%, 4% or other?
I want replicate your cell.
Thanks.

Thank you for your comment!
The 1 mm gaskets are not reduced, and if you would like a bigger gap, you could also use two of them, to get 2 mm distance. I use only 0,5% KOH
good experiments

without a pump and also a cooling device (like a coil), the water will get hot in time.
pgpeachess 3 years ago
For sure, but here i am only showing how to..
and one can also add a current controller.
But as fare as i have seen, the cell doesn`t heat up very much.

I used 40 er grit. I washed the plates with white vinegar and dest.water, this was my only conditioning. Try the foxit reader, works very good.
Measurements:
Energy amount for 1l Gas = 7744 Kj
7744/(A x V x sek.) (for 1 l)
If you get more then 1, then OU

It has something to do with how large the production area is, right?
waterwart 2 years ago
Good Job! How much Gas is your Cell producing?
zeropointfuel 3 years ago
Thank you for comment. It`s about 3 l /m
at 9-10 Amps 24 V. The gap between the plates is only 1 mm (forinch= devided by 2.54)
