I remember i was like 14 before i got to go to an amusement park, and chang was my first one.. i saw it from the parking lot to be the biggest roller coaster there... it was awesome... sadly kentucky kingdom is a thing of the past now

this park is going bck to the original ownership it hadf in '97, and they might put another vampire model in place of where chang was. not a waterpark anymore.

Naw, Ed Hart is still having plans for a waterpark exspansion. He already said in the news paper their will be 3 waterslide areas and 2 new pools. He could still have something by that area however.

i remember the vampire the most. when i was a kid in the early-mid 90's. as soon as you got to be 48 in (the height requirement) it was like a right of passage between my peers on who could ride the vampire. if you did you were awesome, if you didn't you were a wuss.

This probably would've been a really great park. When Six Flags didn't own it. Almost every ride that was ever worth riding is gone. It would've been great if Six Flags Never purchased the park and ruined it all. Chang is gone and Superman Tower of power (Hellavator) is gone. Dang why does Six Flags do this to Kentucky kingdom. It hasn't done it to any of their other parks.

@marcusleonswadling I believe the ride was taken down and is somewhere...over in...some place over seas I remember it stalled in the cobra roll I think and people were stuck for 3 hours or something like that. But another park bought it. Just don't know which one--at least that is what I heard.

the park is kinda ruined, the park use to be better than kings island and almost better den cedarpoint also when sixflags bought the park, six flags stop adding coasters, and thrill rides unlike themeparks llc, themeparks llc did everything for this park and build most of the thrill rides in the park today no wait they put every thrill ride in the park besides greezed lightin!, i surely hope themeparks llc buy back six flags kentucky kingdom and make it into the park it use to be

I loved KY Kingdom. We use to go on Friday nights and I remember when they first built Thunder Run. It was Thunder Run, Vampire and Starchaser. I loved it, but to say it was ever even close to Cedar Point is ridiculous. As a coaster nut who has visited nearly every park in the US and Canada, CP is far and away the best.

kentucky kingdom in 1998 was almost better than cedar point including kings island. its just when Six Flags took over everything went down hill, if The original owners of Kentucky Kingdom kept the park, this park would probably be one of the top 10 parks in the u.s.

I must say Kentucky Kingdom was much better before six flags bought it out. The Vampire was a great coaster. I used to love going there when I went to isit my grandma. Oh well, guess I'll have to jump one state over and hit up Kings Island.

I miss kentucky kingdom, Not Six Flags kentucky kingdom. If it was still kentucky kingdom they may will still have the vampire, the hellavator would not have had the accident and the food teasted much better
