  • This is just great! I love it, although some parts are sung too fast for me to understand them completely

  • Genial.

  • I remembered these lyrics incorrectly, as I memorized them at the ripe old age of NINE!!! I thought she sang Time mag "man". At any rate, this to me was the last of the great political protest songs, and it was one of the first of the great protest songs against the music industry. If you think of Pink Floyd's "Have a Cigar" or Rush's "Limelight, few people remember this song in the same light, but it is. Awesome!

  • "Talking Disco Blues" ~You deserve your own genre, Joan!!

Too bad they don't have a "Love" button on this thing~!

  • She sounds better here than on the record.

  • This clip is a gem, beautiful Joanie is sure not mixing words here, and wow how does she remenber all does words.

  • Someone must have flashed her a note and told her she wasn't supposed to say "on the rag" (after the first time she sang it), since in the second chorus she sang "bleep".

  • Excellent. lol And not easy to do.

  • I expected to hate this and LOVED it

  • Joan was singing rap before rap music even came on the scene.

    Saskia

  • Her singing voice was in quite good form here!

  • Heehee Joan giving Eminem a run for his money in perhaps the first rap song. Go Joan! Thanks.

  • It is a very funny song! I love it!

  • What a GREAT video. Joan Baez, rapping, in 1977. Amazing.
