PS:have you ever tryied using aircraft aluminium (2024-T3) for your armatures? Im currently using it and I find it amazing. Its really cheap, light weighted and easy to machine, and works better than brass in my opinion, the only down side is that you cannot braze it. but there are alternatives like socket screws and swivel joints.

impressive commitment! Have you considered using kit B&S armatures? I've just bought one myself - costs much the same in parts and saves labour time for animation. I've also been following your online journal on Wombok for ages now, eager to see your progress keep it up.
Hi Castle -no worries- we actually ended up silver soldering on some of the ball's onto the rods as the glue didnt hold especially on the hip joints that need to do a lot of turning.
