I am actually still working on this piece.. You really have to understand the composer to understand clearly what the piece is about and what is needed for a good "Mozart". I am in a good position now to have a great teacher, but to answer your question, to master the technical side of this piece took me about 2 weeks so....
it's clear to see that you're a very technically able pianist. All that's needed now is a bit of a tidy up on letting the music flow instead of just putting it in blocks. Very nice fingering throughout though...I'm currently learning this piece for my diploma and will try and post a video of my own version soon.
No, I havn't tried them. I listen to the different recordings to decide. Whichever pieces I like the most to listen to I try to play. You could look them up here, but if you cant find them, there's a great site that has many mp3 recordings- I'm sure you'll find a recording there (it's free). It's classiccat . net (This thing won't allow me to put in URLs). Also, there's another site which has free sheet music and recordings of MOST music- pianosociety . com. Please take a look at my other vids!
If it's all about precision and accuracy, a computer will make a perfect pianist for Mozart's works. Though finger work is extremely important in Mozart's music (in fact, in any Baroque/Classical music), it's NOT the only requirement. There IS ALWAYS room for emotion in whatever kind of music, the question is: how capable is the player to express the right emotions? For diploma level, precision and accuracy are abolutely not the only things the examiners'd look for in Mozart pieces.
Normally I always put emotion in. Whenever I go into contest, the edjudicator comments on how I look during the performance. I don't know, but it's different when putting things up onto youtube.
I have finished my grades and I am working on getting my diploma in performance. At the moment I am working on Chopin's 1st Ballade in G min, and I'm also studying his first Etude. My piano is SOOO crap...
I like this, a very personal performance, really 'con spirito'
