I am a huge google fan but this is a rip off from Microsoft's Media Center. Let me explain my set up. instead of using a receiver (cost $1000+) for my TV, i use a PC (has TV tuner) connected to my big screen via DVI-HDMI (HD quality). So i can use the pc as a dvr, has a good MS search-able guide and everything seen on this video. Not to mention that i have a full pc on my TV not just the web. oh and i use a wireless logitech keyboard with mouse pad, so no wires anywhere.
Is dish network going to make you sign up for another 2 year comittement in order to get it?Or is dish going to make you have to sign up online to get it like they do in order to get thre free lifetime HD.Or is Dish going to make you pay for the new google tv box like they charge there exsisting customers 115 dollars to get a 2nd HD box for a 2nd tv.Is Dish going to charge you to get anything worth watching off the internet like the movies you want to watch.I dont trust Dish thre all about money
@bondsly You can get Google TV as a separate box that you just hook up to your TV and connect to your dish. So there is no additional or changed contract between you and Dish network.
@aahmed215 I called fish network they told me that google box cost 300 dollars to purchase from them not cheap thet said its also 300 in the stores for that logitech box and i couldnt even find it in the stores online yet.
One technology that my grandma could seamlessly operate is tv apart from phones.
Now this is big but i am skeptical of how they are gonna collect meta-data for the good part 4 billion ppl watching TVs like in developing nation like india, china where
you could see moreTVs than internet(expensive utility) . These countries don't have good meta data for local programmes. Just saying 4 billion is misleading. Or atleast all these features would render useless outside of US and EU.
LOL i like how no one realizes how big of an advancement this really is...
