  • fail.

  • Wait what happen if u dont want magicjack no more and u want to cancell it

  • wireless broadband, it will call out 100% but won't receive calls...maybe worth it, maybe not

  • this shitjack is a scam , dont be fool by it, i have one, on 1 to 2 month its good , after that, they blocked your jack, with poor customer service, or none at all, your doom, your money's gone .... does anybody encounter error 400 on this shitjack.. that means your blocked, they blocked your jack on their server.

  • OOMA baby, keep your existing number, caller ID with name, call waiting, caller waiting ID, 911, 411, call forwarding, voicemail, free second line, Free USA long distance calls and more for only ONE TIME FEE of $200 for life... thats how much the system cost! Monthly bill = $0 ... 'Priceless'!!!! best part, you can download stuff and use your pc while making a call and it wont affect the call abit! This OOMA rocks making Vonage a shitty phone service! lol...

  • I agree LALOMAN18. OOMA rocks. I have an OOMA and it's great. By far the best VOIP product on the market. Magicjack is just a cheap product that benefited from a cheesy infomercial

  • @LALOMAN18 When will you stop spamming?

  • Please tell me your a retard?

  • Magic hi-jack is what it should be named. Once you plug MJ into your USB port, it downloads their software program onto your computer. That means you have to keep your computer on 24/7 in order to make or receive calls. Once a call is initiated, the software program starts up and makes it impossible to use your PC when somone is using the phone.

Also, they dont have any customer support you can call if you have a problem and the voice quality is hit or miss whenever you use the phone.

  • Have we Forgotten? Yahoo(Absolutely Free) Vonage and any other broadband phone services have this covered. I guess its cool for a traveler(if they can find a PC and broadband). Seems like a lot of trouble for the same OLD thing!

  • This jack , aint jack. I will never ever buy one again and I advised all 132 of my clients not to buy and pass the word.

  • Hallo guys can you post return address because its impossible to find on any of your web pages.

NO is not working for me tried everything and that live typing support I dont like it at all there is no life conversation on the phone .Please post the return address .Thanks

  • He asked about bandwidth and the guy didn't answer him. He said you need high speed...so...HOW MUCH BANDWIDTH?? 1 megabit? 2 megabit? More??

The MJ website says bandwith needed is 150 kbps. Colour me confused.

  • Can not go back to dial up if I use this usb phone jack can I? So if this is the case it will always cost plenty to have this service.

  • no this device will not work with dial-up and satellite internet service.

  • Would like to ask if I can have more phones hooked up like I have now without the usb phone jack. With this one usb jack how then does one hook up more telephones for the other rooms in your home?

  • if you have a cordless phone systems with more the one handset like 2 hadsets or more then you can a phone system for the whole house. But the bottom line is if you put a corded phone only one corded phone per magicjack can work.

  • If the electric power goes off I won't have a land phone to use? I am one person who does not have a cell phone. So if this usb hooked up phone jack would be my only phone,if I loose power then I can't call or receive any phone calls unless I have a battery back up on my computer. Would this be how it would need to be?

  • yeah that's basically the only down side I can think of. and your computer has to always be on but, on the other hand, with the money you save by not having to pay monthly bills you can invest in a UPS

  • What if I'm in Toronto and calls my friend in Tokyo who doesn't have a magic Jack? Where do I go to find out the rates?

  • buy 2 send one to your friend, then call each others #'s for free (prob solved!!)

    that's what I do!!

  • Do we register our number with your company? I mean how do we go around our local service provider? I have a fee that I'm bound to pay in order to continue receiving their service. Don't you think our provider will mind if they don't receive payments for the service the give us? It sounds good to only pay you $19.99 for the whole year, but what about them? I'm a little confused enlighten me please.

  • Great Product! Works Perfectly!

  • alot of people having problems and very few who praise this thing I'll give it more time before I consider ordering 1

  • Good luck, keep waiting, I have mine and no more phone bills. Keep waiting though that $40.00 is better in your phone companies pocket. I have been spending many times that amount for just my reg. phone service. Not anymore.

  • Cool gadget man!!!

  • i'm getting that right away!
