I have changed the video title to credit Kent M. Keith for the poetry and have left it that it was immortalized by Mother Teresa. I like to give credit where credit is due. Thank you for visiting and your comments.
The Paradoxical Commandments were actually written by Kent M. Keith in 1968 and Mother Teresa put them up on the wall of her children's home in Calcutta. The fact that the commandments were on her wall was reported in a book compiled by Lucinda Vardey, Mother Teresa: "A Simple Path," which was published in 1995. As a result, some people have attributed the Paradoxical Commandments to Mother Teresa instead of Dr Kent.
@coyoteself I think the words in this video are more important than who originally wrote what. Yes I believe you're right Kent M. Keith composed the Paradoxical Commandments. Does that add anything or take anything away here? The meaning of the words is what's important. I have been looking for a quality video of these words to post and so far I have found you commenting about Ken M. Keith's authorship. You aren't just looking for these videos so you can correct people are you? I hope not.
@PHATHCOX As true as that may be. A misquote is still a misquote and unfair to both Dr Keith and Mother Tersea. Both of whom have absolutely nothing to do with this video. No doubt Dr. Keith is moved my Mother Tersea's use of his words, and no doubt he's a bit disappointed that because of her fame, credit is given to her instead of where it belongs, with the original author. Yes, if I see something that is BLATANTLY wrong, then yes, I will correct them, as should everyone.
@coyoteself Very well then if your intent was only to honestly give credit to Dr Keith then yes I agree he should be named. When I saw your identical comment on more than one video about these same words I became concerned you were one of those people who try to take away from the impact of poems or songs or sayings of a religious nature even if its just in some little way. Sadly some people troll the internet and do that. Now I know you were simply pointing out a correction. Peace to you.
thank you for such a beautiful inspirational clips of mother theresa's quotes; i have alot of them but my things are in storage. an incredible woman and talk about walk the talk she definately walked in Jesus's shoes and showed ppl what a real Christian is
