Auf den Rummelplätzen lief das auch auf den Anlagen der Boxautobahnen=billigste Landdisco.. ;)

  • i'm 17 and i wanna go in your times becouse these times are fcuking bda

  • MUCH better than Send Me An Angel.

  • @lurch321 I agree. "Send Me an Angel" has a violent, driving sound to it, which is why I never liked it.

  • Immer wieder Klasse...lange her

  • I love the 80's!!!

  • I'm 2 stone heavier than i was in the 80s , if i had the chance to go back in your time machine or loose the weight, give me the time machine any day. 80s brilliant times.

  • They just don't make songs like these anymore, oh for a time travel machine where I could just live the 80's over and over again

  • @Wraith7011 If you find a time machine, let me know right away :) I would love to re-live the 80's over again and not just for the music, the optimism, joy and euphoria that was around during that decade was amazing.

  • Music tanked after March 1984 and it is only getting worse.

  • wana go back to 80's :S

  • i love this tune sooo much...one of the theme songs of my youth( teary eyed)....im falliiiin.....

  • To all those interested: I'm INVITING the WHOLE GANG to come along on my 80's TIME TRAVEL EXPEDITION!!!....

  • Wow, it sounds like I'm a kid again..... *cries* The 80's were fucking Magical!

  • Real something for Germans.

  • I just have to find my time machine because I just have to go back to the 80's. I need to go back " home". The best memories of my life are held in the 80's. My friends and I still speak of how that was the best time of our lives. Remembering all the time spent at the skating rink or cruising the streets with our boom box and these songs playing loudly or just dancing at school dances to this song and having the funnest and craziest times. I just love the 80's sooo much! Missing it so! :-(

  • So that's where Ke$ha got it.

  • good.. de niño parecia k nunka mas la iba a escuchar

  • Cool song, I dig that Roland G707 guitar.

  • I am falling for that Roland Jupiter 8.

  • I remember hearing this for the first time on Night Tracks, the pre mtv. Damn..the memories.

  • many years looking for this song...I use to dance it a lot when I was 17...

  • Oh God I love low-budget 80's clips! Whoever cares about Jackson?

  • I NEED TO GO THE FUCK BACK TO THE MOST AMAZING MUSICAL DECADE FOR THIS 41 YEAR OLD KID= THE 80's!!!

  • @petermurphreak Amazing! This kinda music is far away from what Peter Murphy used to create and perform! But you`re damn right, time flies!!! Cheers from Germany

  • @Yecora26... Bauhaus and MY GOD= Peter Murphy are the band I WORSHIP the MOST, no doubt!!!... However, through "the 80's" I pretty much set up RESIDENCE in the MAGICAL LAND of "college radio" and bands like "Real Life" were played there often!!!.... I would not "change" those days for anything in the world!!!...

  • @petermurphreak = If you find the way back let us know, the crap they call music now adays really sucks.I like reading other people enjoy music from the 80's and how it made them feel then and now, sharing their memories of where they were when they heard the song for the first time or how they spent their youth listening to this music.

  • @petermurphreak hahahaha... Can I come with you?

  • @petermurphreak Oh man, I HEEEAARRRR YOU!!!

  • @wayne2020z you are a fool

  • Nothing like a big fat Roland Jupiter 8 to give that big 80's sound Yeah Baby !

  • @thesingingdj Thanx i was trying to find out what model that was :)

  • I love this song!

  • Love this! But I swear the video's opening has me wondering if Stephen Colbert was thinking of this video when he did his 'Remixing is OK' tune, lol

  • This song was FUTURETELLING?????

  • 3rd single????

    What was number 2 ?

  • @Redscum1 Openhearted was the 2nd single in August 1983 after Send Me An Angel. It didn't do well in Australia so internationally Catch Me was the 2nd single released and Openhearted was 3rd.

  • @aussie80s

    thank you

  • the ultimate white mans under lip bite song!

  • Always loved the spilled paint wipes. Those and the GR-700.

  • @wayne2020z SO TRUE

  • Cult band!!

  • `ne tolle Zeit mit toller Musik!

Heute gibt es nur noch Plastik-Musik, einmal hören und dann wegwerfen!

  • Lead singer, David Sterry, is Ben Stiller's doppelgänger! I woke up this morning with this song in my head for some reason. Hadn't heard it for eons. Great nostalgia trip this clip.

  • ...y me acuerdo cuando era pequeñita y veía Videorock con Elsa Saavedra...

    really?

you must mean "pop music"= radio shit...

cuz i make music like this

  • @bogglednow How and why would you miss an opportunity to meet this forgotten but great band? Were you in Australia?

  • Thomas Anders from Modern Talking sing this song too.

  • @bela071 yes and better

  • @wayne2020z

Agree! All past music since the 80s and even further back in time is better!

Why is todays music so shitty? Theres really no iconic sound to the current era, just sounds like a mess of garbage!

  • Hey what model is that silver guitar?! I love vintage 80s models....Never seen anything like it....

  • @DuaLeaD That's a Roland G707 synth guitar. It had a synth pedalboard, the GR700 that went with it.

  • Comment removed

  • Shredd'n and breakfast baby

  • Just for the record. "Roland" was not the name of this band's keyboardist.

  • @southport97

  • The intro in this song is honestly one of the best ones I have ever seen... or heard, actually.

  • simple but Rockkkkkkkkkkkkkk...

  • thiis is one of my all time favorite songs, love it

  • Wow. great use of the synth vocoder. And that keyboard being played, I think is a Roland Juno-106. Ive owned one of those since the 80s. Woudnt trade it for the world. Classic board. Great times.

  • Sometimes I just have to pull out this LP and dance. The album version is different, BTW.

  • i remember rollerskating to this song back in the 80s

  • The intro to this vid is freakin sweeet.

  • Leadsinger always reminds me on Ben Stiller ;-)

  • the music for bored generation,80' is the best.

  • Hard to believe this wasn't a smash #1 hit all around the world! A new wave, melodic rock gem from the 80's. Doesn't get much better than this! Great video too.

  • I have all ready "FALLEN"... Be that as it may,and since I never sleep, lets mount up , do a little S&D, and finish the job!!!!!

  • I am soooooo blessed to have gone through my adolescence in the 80s!

  • I am so glad that I turned 18 years old in 1980. What a great decade in to be in your 20s :-)

  • the opening with the neon painted faces is just too cool man

  • @wayne2020z Amen!

  • this rocks my boat and capsizes! Aussie bands putting out international caliber quality!

  • this rocks my boat and capsizes!

  • these guys hooked me in with the ethereal 'send me and angel' then plunged it deeper with this tune....heartland is one of the most overlooked albums of the 80's

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • ...My favorite part is the beginning, the rest of the song really doesn't connect with me...

  • Without a doubt one of the 80's most underrated bands!

  • Great lyrics..'catch me I'm falling.' Perhaps you can 'send me an angel?' lol. My sentiments exactly: only put into words by Real Life.

  • 80sforlife

  • The state of my emotional affair i had. just to make it short

    1:52

There's her face before my eyes

Affair I chose didn't recognize the danger there

    Heartache comes and weakness calls

Her shadows prancing across my wall

    It's no dream

  • Someone please tell me what this generation finds entertaining in watching some guy working a turntable BORING Real music played by real musos Wins every time.

Gotta go got a gig tonite playing the drums take care

    Brad Laing

  • @hootiej It is entertaining because those guys workin' "The tabled" Look, dress, and talk like idiots, to a point where paying to see them just might be worth it....

  • @Pryysmite

    Doubt it

  • this is like the coolest shit I've ever seen, and i listen to mostly heavy metal.

  • Todays musicians have no clue that popmusics mission is to lift up peoples emotions and mood. Todays musicias in 90% care only to get worshippers for their egos. But this will last not forever. I believe music like was in the 80, 90s will be again when brainwashing and targeted dumbig of the population by the media will stop.

  • LOVE THIS SONG

  • Gotta love the 80`s.

  • @diamonddust22 it could've been the start of music videos but it was also the time when underground music thrived. not even 10% of great music was shown on TV and most of the ones shown were pop. not everything was PLASTIC i.e. REM, The Smiths, the Clash, Metallica, The Church, etc. and if they did use synth in their music they used it very well i.e. OMD, China crisis, Tears for fears, The care, New Order, Ultravox, The the, The Cure, etc...that other genres evolved from them

  • this is when the music industry cared about cocaine.

  • @RevDJProtokol

yeah and other streets drugs (lol) now its all about profit & record execs & label ceos are all on SSRI's or BENZODIAPENES & have no feeling & make artist make bullshit music to sell to sheep

  • For the real 80's aussies, they played this on hey Hey Its Saturday and each time the `Catch Me I'm Falling` at the end of the chorus, they played a sound effect of a man falling off a cliff - AAAAHHHH! Still laugh at that!

  • Spirituality ain't dead - it's just changed its habits..........just like us

  • I will have to disagree, it is not a matter of perception. You need to look at the actual lyrics / music videos of pop songs throughout time and now today. In bands such as Real Life, Scorpians, Journey, No Doubt and even Ace of Base, they all contain a spirtual / existential reference to Angels, Heaven and true love. Todays pop bands such as Lady Gaga, Bieber, Muse and Rhiana, all have lyrics/videos that support secular self-indulgance, and dark rebelious undertones.Spirituality is dead

  • @3carz

Spirituality ain't dead - it's just changed its habits..........just like us

  • Holy 80s, Batman!

  • einfach geil

  • princesshollybabe - your uncle was a real life hunk and spunk ...... say hi to the gorgeous danny boy!! xx00

  • @nellie196425 Will do :)

  • Im 13 and i love real life cuz my uncle was in this band his the drummer :)

  • fucking awesome song. i jam to this in the car.

  • I got goosebumps...

  • No 'dancers', no cute video effects, no lip syncing, no sampling, no genital flashing...... Is this real music then?

  • @FairladyS130 cause they didn't think of it back then...sure if they were here in our time they would do it...bleh bleh this is why they are considered pop...or Popular derp derp

  • @1337cg they didn't think of it, ummm, no. How about the music was so good it didn't need add ons?

  • @FairladyS130 The music industry for the most part is the same as it has been. So the truth is they didn't have the technology to do the bullshit or thought of it.

And in truth back then, this would be considered generic...like our hippy dippy hop or auto tune nowadays.

Its all perception, and sadly maim your perception is bias due to being stuck in a time capsule.

  • Good job real life

  • lovely music in the cream of my youth

  • Love the paint effects, and the bass line. Also, the glow in the dark makeup.

  • David Sterry is cuuuute~

  • Nothing will ever compare to the 80's

  • @jaymdogg23 When dreamers of the past become leaders that last, that's when you'll see why current gore may yield to 1984.

  • @jaymdogg23 I predict there will be a resurrection of the eighties in the year 2080. Watch and learn...

  • i was 1 yr old in 1983...

    i fkn love the 80's :)

wish they still made music like thiss

  • I actually loved this one more than "send me an angel".....

  • someone go back in time and make my mum give birth to me 10 years earlier just so i could have lived through this :O 80s would have been sooo much better.

  • Somebody take me back to the 80's and keep me there!

  • @Abkeda Are you asking where did Real Life go? They are still active until today. Years active 1980 - present

  • @Supersweetguy

Just enjoying music today...from my yesterdays;-)

  • But it lifts me up!!! HA!

  • this is awesome!

  • I love this song so much..

  • I searched for this song for 27 years. Thank goodness for YouTube.

  • only reached #40 on the US chart. Shows you how pitiful american music is.... Paul Davis reached #2 with his 65 love affair in 82 which was a very retro sound compared to these geniuses

  • @boeing747300 It's in the top 10 in Oz. May be. Don't know.

  • @boeing747300

i have to laugh at your comment. that paul davis song "65 love affair"was total crap and the lowest point of the 1980s before new kids and beastie boys appeared and proof old bastards were working at radio stations and wouldn't let new artists be heard. the first 7 months of 1982 were awful for top 40. the new wave invasion that took off in 1983 was the best thing to ever have happened to top 40 music.

  • Great song, great album. Long live the 80's!!!

  • I miss 1983, was 21 years old, in the Army, stationed in Hawaii. Great time for me. Miss these songs and vids and my army buds.

  • amazing song.

  • How easy people were conned - no wonder they remake 80's films too. Pathetic, really.

  • @TheOldEchoes I am curious, what music captured your imagination in 1983?

  • @123OBrown This song and Yes Owner of a lonely heart.

  • @Supersweetguy YES! Utterly, Owner of a Lonely Heart too. You're not a certain mad geneticist from UNSW ...are you? :D

  • @123OBrown What do you mean from being a geneticist from UNSW? I am not either from New Zealand, or from Australia. I am from the Philippines.

  • Ooohhh, YEAH! this SONG!! full of unknown beckoning RUSH!!!

Forgive me, I am deeep in memoryland !!

  • @123OBrown me too.... i was 16 :) it was awesome

  • I still love this song!!! I was 17 when it first came out now I am 44 still hasn't lost it's goodness!

  • I still love this song!!!
