only reached #40 on the US chart. Shows you how pitiful american music is.... Paul Davis reached #2 with his 65 love affair in 82 which was a very retro sound compared to these geniuses
i have to laugh at your comment. that paul davis song "65 love affair"was total crap and the lowest point of the 1980s before new kids and beastie boys appeared and proof old bastards were working at radio stations and wouldn't let new artists be heard. the first 7 months of 1982 were awful for top 40. the new wave invasion that took off in 1983 was the best thing to ever have happened to top 40 music.

only reached #40 on the US chart. Shows you how pitiful american music is.... Paul Davis reached #2 with his 65 love affair in 82 which was a very retro sound compared to these geniuses

@boeing747300 It's in the top 10 in Oz. May be. Don't know.

i have to laugh at your comment. that paul davis song "65 love affair"was total crap and the lowest point of the 1980s before new kids and beastie boys appeared and proof old bastards were working at radio stations and wouldn't let new artists be heard. the first 7 months of 1982 were awful for top 40. the new wave invasion that took off in 1983 was the best thing to ever have happened to top 40 music.

I miss 1983, was 21 years old, in the Army, stationed in Hawaii. Great time for me. Miss these songs and vids and my army buds.

How easy people were conned - no wonder they remake 80's films too. Pathetic, really.

@TheOldEchoes I am curious, what music captured your imagination in 1983?

@Supersweetguy YES! Utterly, Owner of a Lonely Heart too. You're not a certain mad geneticist from UNSW ...are you? :D

@123OBrown What do you mean from being a geneticist from UNSW? I am not either from New Zealand, or from Australia. I am from the Philippines.
