this surgery has ruined my life, my stomach dumps now so i digest my food in my lower intestine, i am in the bathroom about six to eight times a day never really fully relieving my self, my lower bowel cannot keep up with the fast digiestive system created by this surgery... the pain, and the bowel distention, (i look pregnant ) prevents me from having sex most of the time, its too distracting to heave my bloated painful swollen belly around..

How long does it take for the patient to recover from a surgery like this?

@ubmileyfan == I know it's late, but... I had the surgery three weeks ago and returned to nursing school on post-op day #6! However, I'd say it was about two weeks before I was pretty functional and my surgeon said my diet should be able to return to normal at about six weeks post-op. Feel free to shoot me a msg if you have any ?s!
