Is there any way to build in APIs to other programs? I have a program on my Win Mobile phone now that uses a GPS for General Aviation moving maps... I can build a flight plan and then use the phone/gps to follow the course, etc. very handy as backup for a pilot.... I would like to put a course into the phone and then have the phone be able to bluetooth the course to the avionics in my plane
I am really excited about this project. I was first informed of this phone about 3 months ago by a friend that had found out about it. I also so a review about it in a tech magazine (not sure which one). The idea of an open source phone is absolutely amazing. Hopefully they can find a CDMA carrier (hopefully Sprint since that's what I use). Can't wait to see more videos.
Sorry hawk4031, the neo1973 will most probably not be available to CDMA carriers since it only uses GSM. If you read up on the openmoko webpage they talk about their reasons for doing so
That's right. I'm really looking forward seeing all the applications written by the community for the OpenMoko OS. In my opinion this system will beat the style of the iPhone.

Great video! UI is kinda bugggy but that's expected in dev stuff. Love the information available about the satellites.
