In a episode of LAink she tells us that her father is her biggest rollmodel, and that she really looks up to him, so that's why she have that tattoo of him. And i really love my father too. I mean, eaven if it sounds gross, i wanted to marry him when i was a kid. He's everything a man should be, and i adore him so much for that. I think that everyone got something to learn from him, indeed. So one of my first tattoo's is gonna be a portret of him a place where i can see it. Like on my arm.

This interviewer is trying way to hard to intellectualise this conversation and in doing so she TOTALLY fails to engage with Kat and or the art of tattooing. This was a really poor interview from a very weak interviewer, she drew out next to nothing of Kat's passion, motivation, inspiration or joy. She (the pretentious interviewer) would be much more at home on a late night talk-show deconstructing symbolism in post-modern art, surrounded by bearded types all scratching their chins and agreeing.

She is a very popular portrait tattooist. Her work is absolutely incredible. She became "famous" through her work, and then she was on the shows Miami and LA Ink on TLC.

She's also now an author.
