Your age would not preclude you from getting your certificate. You will need to obtain a third-class medical certificate. Call us at 1-800-854-1001 and we's be happy to discuss this or any other questions you have on getting your license.
I really like these videos. I wish I had bought them. I went with the Gleim system, which was great, but King was probably the better choice. Gleim focuses more on the knowledge test.
You should be able to complete your flying lessons for less than $10,000 and that figure is if everything goes wrong. In most cases, you can go form start to finsih for about $6,000 depending on A/C rental in your area and fuel costs.
The Kings produce one of the leading flight education product lines available. The info is given in simple enough terms that even someone that has no interest in flying at all could make sense out of.
well, when I went to get my first class medical, all they did was check my blood pressure, and eyesight... I could have been mentally reatarded and they wouldn't have even noticed.
@marick626 actually your wrong....for a student pilots lic, it's a third class medical...a 'first class' medical would include a stress test [atp] I personally dought you every had a first class medical and yes you might be retarded because you spelled it reatarded
The flight medical exam is to ensure that you are physically able to pilot an aircraft. There is no lie detector test involved in a flight medical exam.
They just make sure that you are in decent physical shape. If you can drive a car, you shouldn't have any problem passing the flight medical. The upside is that if you don't pass it, you will at least know that you have something seriously wrong health wise and need to get it looked at anyway. Oh yeah, they do a urine test too to make sure that you aren't a stoner! LOL! Good luck!
God, I hope I can make a landing like that some day.

I'd like to add, the flight medical exam also ensures that you are mentally fit to operate an aircraft.

I have a question. What does the medical consist of to get your pilots license? Do you take a lie detector test? P.S. I mean in the United States.

Dear goingtobeapilot,
