  • 0:30 OMG ITS SANTA!!!

  • YELLOW CAR LIVES

  • 0:34 its santa!!!!

  • They are idots wrecking Classic cars like that, that are worth thousands of pounds in money

  • @Maltray

Not idiots at all - classics are made for racing just as much as new cars. Much better to see them on a race track than in some pristine garage - cars were made to MOVE. Well done racers, looks fantastic

  • ud be pissed of bout haq fucked my car is. haha

  • Great shot! wow.

  • merry xmas

  • the silver jag and the read jag people driving those to cars are father and son !

  • end of the day lads its racing you all know the risks and you all know crashes happen if ya dont like it dont do it

  • Certainly was upset, but the worst damage occurred on the restarted race - at the same place too. This time punting my Scirocco into the armco. Would love to know who caused that one! Lucky to repair the car enough to drive it back to Taunton.

  • Think I was bout 5th in the saxo. Number 85.

  • Had you as 3rd there Stuart. What on earth had you done to get there!?

  • Kev. I was on the 2nd row for both start's. First time i'd seen the front of the grid!!

  • Great footage. Was on the infield of the esses. The wife nearly ended up wearing a Scirroco!!! Can see why we run Edwinas now.

  • Mr Dodwell (Scirocco) was not best pleased about the incident. Because Mk1 parts are hard to find now, this may have put him out for the 2009 season. An over optimistic attempt by the Pug driver who lost it, and took Tim with him, and then carnage ensued.

Reverse grids are exciting with matched cars, but not with a wide and varied field like this lot. I wouldn't say it was an awesome crash at all. A waste of a lot of people's time and money. If they want to drive like this, get a playstation

  • Yes I see what you mean. I didn't mean awesome as in good, just that it was carnage, didn't mean to cause any offence. (I race bikes myself and I know how horrible it is when things get smashed up)

I did feel sorry for the drivers who mangled their cars. At least they appeared to be ok, that's the main thing.

  • At the end of the day, if you want to race your car, and then start complaining when something like this happens, then you shouldnt be racing such a car. If you pause the footage around 17 1/2 seconds, the scirocco is actually turning into the 106. The incident that "may" put the scirocco out for 2009 isnt even this one. I think the seat and the jag are worse off than your mates VW.
