It's not mean. He's obviously done this before. If he really REALLY didn't like it, he would freak the hell out. Believe me, I've had cats who DID NOT like collars and ran everywhere to "get away" from it, including into the wall. That's when I consider it mean and take it off of him/her. In my opinion, the cat here was fine.

He loves the collar. Every time he wears it he says " I feel quite rambunctious with this new addition to my wardrobe" and then he gets so excited that he must perform various flips and twists as it's the only logical way to express his acceptance for it.
