Gess you would do the lap a couple of sec faster with manual gears, gives you a bit more controll of the car at low speeds, rather use second gear than spinning out first.

@TheAviator8 a billion! No seriously around 900. But you cannot reduce power or increase the weight to get less PP. You can reduce the downforce quite significantly though, but i don't think that it is enough to race any of the PP limited races in the S class. I don't know about online though.

@TheAviator8 Yeah, but in arcade you can drive it against the AI and they will also be in the Ferrari 2007. Just let the top bar stay at 101 when you set the difficulty level of the race. You can only get it to 101 when you are in the F1 car, but then the others will also race in them. That is quite fun : )

Gran Turismo is realistic, I definitely agree the best console sim by a long way.

However, for people with a slightly higher budget, PC simulations are much more advanced. Look up iRacing, rFactor, live for speed, netkar pro, etc.

Although I will be buying this for PS3, it's fun to pick up and play, and the graphics are omfg awesome.

yeah, just about the only gripe i have with gt5 is the fact it has no damage, i think the designers got caught up in the 'squeeky clean' aspect of the game, and forgot that as good graphics you have, ramming head on into another car and not having any consequences is just not good for the realism.

well here is how they are doing it on GT5... they are giving u 900 or 1000 cars! (everyone has a different # but its one of the 2) and out of 1000 cars... only 170 on them will support actual crash damage, which i think is just lazy if u ask me b/c they have had all the time on the world to work on this game! so what happens if my car can reck and ur car cant? u hit me and drive off and ill be stuck there with fucked up steering or blown engine! how is that going to be the next GEN racing sim?

Wrong. 170 will have INTERNAL damage. ie you'll be able to see the dash cave in and the doors blow off etc from the internal view. ALL cars will have damage. I guess they don't teach people how to research or read in school anymore. Shame, really.

Uh... I don't know what to say but they do spin around corners. When you downshift a car from 3rd to 2nd the motor revs and when you smack the pedal you're going to tail out... hence... drifting...

i think 2nd gear could manage more than 36mph. And smacking the pedal does not spin a car out because of our old friend, traction control. Drifters turn traction control off and lower their revv limiters so they dont damage their engine, and they put racing slick tires on so the tires dont grab, and f1 car drivers like to have just a tiny bit more grip, so they use real soft tires to get more grip so that car shouldnt have slid around that corner. And you only tail out if its rear wheel drive.

They're all the same, one just has a softer compound, which will grip for a SHORTER period of time which means tire wear will cause less grip. Uhhhhh... F1 cars are RWD?
