  • Incredible! Thanx for uploading

  • Super!

  • I first heard this in 1975.

If anyone had suggested to me then that anyone could "cover" this track - let alone a guy and a guitarist - I would have fallen about laughing.

    I am not laughing now..

    This is superb.

    Long live Christy Moore!

  • Respect ............

  • amazing what else can i say.

  • Saw you sing this live in London a couple of years ago, when you dedicated it your son. What a great version fantastic.

    Greetings from Palermo, Italy

  • Id Rather Listen To Pink Floyds Version Any Day! Christy Moore Is Class Tho

  • Amazing cover. Like pretty near every song Christy ever covers, he manages to find the essence of the original tune and at the same time infuses it with his truly ancient spirit, making each song he sings his own, in his inimitable way. This man is a singer who veritably defines what it is to be legendary.

  • One person accidentally hit dislike.

  • Simply wonderful, heard this on Serius Xm And was blown away :) made me explore more of your stuff , love it all VERY NICE bless ya :)

  • Beautiful

  • @chris, we learned it by playing it long before the internet but I take your point, it is really good as a piece, in fact this is outstanding, one of my favourite Irish musicians singing one of my favourite songs, it doesn't get much better. I can't help but think that Syd would have approved.

  • random precision, the greatest oxymoron ever!

This is the only version that I've heard that works for me,apart from Floyd. Just excellent!

  • I love Floyd, I like Christy. I don't mind this version... come on...we are all singing along with him. It's kareoke that we can suffer.

  • A sort of Irish slant on a great Pink Floyd classic. Well done Christy I enjoyed that!

  • saw the lads playing this last night in the marquee as an encore.played it in memory of micheal jackson. have to say it blew me away. hats off to declan sinnott. countrys finest guitarst.

  • Him and Gallagher man, the two are amazin guitarists, and both can play the mandolin xD

  • yes it was amazing - saw Micheal Jackson in Cork in '88, saw Roger Waters there in '06 heard the news on the way down - then Christy sings this at the end blew me away

  • Magical, very best !!

  • funny how the universe allows you to stumble on something totally perfect, what a rendition of a great song....fantastic.

  • This is a legendary Irish singer.. singing a legendary song.. with a legendary guitar player.. one word

    Legend

  • great guitar playing, have heard better vocals

  • Lovely version.

  • I prefer the pink floyd version, with david gilmour on vocals, true that christy is a legend in his own right, the magic was floyd and the psychedelic effect was lost..

  • magnificent

  • beautiful

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

  • keep on touring Christy......

  • Outstanding, emotional and raw. Thank you for yet another beautiful contribution to music...

  • You got a fan in Coimbra and you'll never, ever guess how!... I love Pink Floyd, but you have been able to reach the deeply feeling of the meaning of the song in your version: You, Irish Shining Dimond!...

  • Sublime.

  • Not bad.But ı prefer Pink Floyd or David Gilmour's version.

  • goin to see them in clonmel CANT WAIT!!!

  • It's a great song stripped right down to it's bare basics and performed by 2 of the best in the business.

    Maith sibh Christy 'is Declan!!!

  • I prayed that this song would be included in the new CD, I new you could do it, you brought the song out of the dark and breathed life into the body of the words, which has rendered its soul, like a dove gliding on the warm west winds. Brilliant.

  • hah

  • was this a joke?

  • Are you joking? Or just plain stupid!!!

  • west winds are cold

  • Ahhhhhh.

Christy - you've taken one of my favorite songs ever, and made it more bittersweet.

Excuse me - I think I have something in my eyes...

  • Beautiful! Simply beautiful! Shine on Christy. May your light never dim.

    Ronan
