  • When did Chip and Dale play on Fox? I remember them on (what was then) UPN 30....

So does anyone remember Joe Cool, the host they had for the Fox Kid's Club in those days? He was some local comedian who hosted the programming block each afternoon, did personal appearances at restaurant openings and public events...He wore a Hawaiian flowered shirt and swimtrunks, sported dark glasses and a beachcomber 'do, spouted hipster lingo...?

  • Scott Menville (Ma-Ti) was the voice over of the Fox Kids Club commercial

  • don't get me wrong, LJN had some cool games back in the day. kick master being one of them

  • Lovely memories, I miss my weekday afternoon cartoons and commercials. Muppet babies, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Ducktales, Chip n dales, tale spin, tinytoons animaniacs and Barbie, skip it, and Ring Pop commercials are heaven ;) I'm 24 btu I will always be a little girl at heart

  • I saw the Angry Video Game Nerd video for back to the future for NES.

  • 9:15 Damn, I knew LJN was the rainbow of death, but I didn't take it literally. Disturbing commercial

  • that milk commercial was sooooooooo crappy. lol. those pop-tarts look gross. im glad the ones i ate had harden icing on it. y arent there anymore juicy fruit commercials but they still juicy fruit. that back to the future game looked like it was in 3-D.

  • The 20th century was a time to be alive. There was always something to look forward to. The day when kids could not wait to get home from school so they can see their favorite shows.

  • @freakyandsexy so true. now kids just come home, do hw, and go to sleep. at least that's what I do. i barely even watch tv anymore.

  • ahhh juicy fruit gum... the taste has always moved me...

  • I just about crapped my pants when that kid flipped his "mega" hat rim up, good thing i'm not wearing any pants...

  • yeah back to the future for nes was a peace of shit!

  • @funtyrone

I think even that's too much of a compliment for it.

  • the 1990's, life at it's best.

  • Punky Brewster was on FOX? I just remember it on NBC

  • @MrVicious494

I'm betting the Fox airings were syndicated reruns.

  • Man I am mad I didnt recieve anything from Fox Kids club after I sent for it! I still want my mag! I dont care if its 20 years later! I think I am going to make a trip to San Diego and find that building!

And pop tarts were so awesome!

I remember I usto eat them on the school bus!

Am I the only one that usto watch these commericals as a kid and be like ewwwwwwwww I want that!!! I want that! On the cool toys! LOL!

    Ahhh the good ole days!

  • the taste the taste the taste its going to mooooove ya lol

  • Yeah this takes me back... I miss the 90s

White Pop-Tart Box! Juicy Fruit is gonna move ya!

I found that college ad amusing...

Candy is working on what would have been the top of the line equipment 20 or 21 years ago. You wanna find that computer, you have to look down the street mid July at Bob so and so's garage sale. False Kevin Nealon handing her work to do as well. Look at that name on the door! Lol. Tonight on L.A. Law Gorill Morgan is caught cheating on his wife with Candy

  • If I may play "20something curmudgeon" for a moment...

The main thing I miss about TV from that time is that, despite it being filled with noise and obnoxious gimmicks, there were actually still some occasional moments of QUIET. You know----one or two-second pauses between shows and commercials after fading to black. But now? They don't even allow THAT. They don't let up for an instant. It's a constant assault; every microsecond has to be jam-packed with NOISE. It's awful.

  • the 90's was the best era. wish i could go back

  • @Arab092 I think I would prefer the 50s and 60s. But by today's standards? I am so glad I grew up in during the 90s!

  • There was also a commercial for "Bouncin' Kids" at 2:49, but the song was kinda catchy when the three little girls singing that song, but it was a take off of a song which was originally done back in 1916 by Billy Murray. I guess the people from Galoob re-written the lyrics and made it into a "Bouncin' Kids" jingle. "Pretty Baby" was originally done 83 years before the "Bouncin' Kids" jingle came along.

  • I remember I was in the Fox Kids Club and they used to send me magazines lol

  • @krissyu84 I remember the "Fox Kids Club" promo. They used to show it on Fox's WNYW-TV (channel 5) in New York City back in 1990 where it was renamed as "Fox 5 Kids Club". DJ Katt was on that promo, but it had some great shows like the "Super Mario Bros. Super Show", "Woody Woodpecker", "Muppet Babies", "Alvin & the Chipmunks", "The Real Ghostbusters" and the syndicated version of the "Wonderful World of Disney". That brings back some good memories.

  • OMG I've seen this commercial for an LJN called "Back to the Future" at 6:14, it's got to be the worst NES game of all time and the music is annoying, just like a broken record that plays over and over and over again. I played it and I sucked at it. Thanks for putting this commercial for the worst NES game ever made based on a successful film.

  • back to the future ad dam that game sucked ass

  • wow I was in the 5th grade. and I remember running home from school to watch after school cartoons.

  • OH MAN THE SAUGIES HAHAHA MAN MEMORIES

  • wow i remember every single one of these commercials even the bbc one. damn i feel old but those were the days though. sometimes i wish i could go back to bad the kids of today can't experience times like those.

  • Holy fuck I remember every single one of these. shame on me.

  • 0:06 checkered floor symbolism ....... google it.

  • Back To The Future for the NES sucked!! How dare they take a great classic time travel film and bastardize it into a shitty NES game. I'm glad the AVGN reviewed this piece of shit!

  • I remember these commercials but I don't remember this show being on Fox. Hahaha! it must've been an affiliate thing. Like east coast/west coast time. In Nor Cal the Disney cartoons out of stations in Sacramento were on the UHF/VHF station that I think later became either UPN or WB. Then in the mid-90's Fox's WB programming went to WB! (which was practically all of their cartoons.) Its all tangled up. Long story short, today it'd be shown on the CW.

  • 3:53 "Charles in Charge" promo

  • lol awesome man.

  • i wish i could relive 87-95 over and over and over again

  • do they still show chip and dell rescue rangers

  • I don't know about other countries, but not in the US sadly. Last time it was on was back before Toon Disney became DisneyXD.... over half the series is on DVD though.

  • I wish I had a time machine.

  • OMG Back to the Future....My parents had that game and I grew up with it..couldn't beat that malt shop scene .."It's almost like being in the movie"......Ljn jerks lol

  • @CrimsonCloud1113

arv beat that game it was a bitch. then when you get to the delorean part and hope you get passed it and you fail and get game over and have to do everything all over again

  • are foxkids club still there

  • Sadly, it's been long gone for at least a decade. I think the last time I even received a Fox Kids magazine was during summer of 2000.

  • it got turned in to

    jetx and then to

    4kidstv the Disney

    took jetx wile time warner/CW

took 4kids tv levering fox nothing

but news crap. & sports .-.-

  • At least those channel showed 20th century animation.

  • 6:40

The advertised line spoken at this moment is rather ironic, knowing how awful this game really was.

  • Damn I miss the 90's commercials today suck.

  • the 90's was back wen a kid could be a kid

  • I wish it was still 1990s

  • fun free AND awesome? Unlikely

  • gotta bring milk back

  • I was born in 1981 and the only commercials i remember from here were the one for pop tarts and the one for juicy fruit. Maybe they just ran different commercials on the east coast...

  • This shows how tv has totally lost its creativity now-a-days. God I remember 90% of these commercials. Even the great Chi-Chi-Chi-Chip and Dale!!!!.

    Good Times

  • My life is never gonna be the same

  • They were so cheesy they have a vintage feel :)

  • Wow, that Juicy Fruit commercial was full of innuendos.

  • like what..racism?

  • "Take a sniff, pull it out"

"The taste is gonna move you when you pop it in your mouth"

If you have a dirty mind like me, then you'll get it.

  • something something something dark side parodied that ad

  • The 90's were the all time high of cartoons.

I'd say the only better addition to it would have been the original TMNT COWABUNGA!!!!!!

  • back to the future game SUCK!!!

just watch the angry nintendo nerd video and U know!!

  • The 90's were the best!

  • I still have a couple of those McDonalds toys sitting in a box in the closet at my parents house, they don't have anything like that anymore...not that I collect them anymore, I'm just saying, lol

  • cool these r gr8

  • the juicy fruit one LOL 0_o

    XD

  • thanks so much for the upload. great memories :,)

  • Commercials these days are too realistic. We need commercials like the 80's and 90's again!

  • I remember these back when Saturday cartoons were original, funny, and entertaining. Fox 11 is gone, CW/WB is dying, and ABC is Disney(not the good old school Disney)

  • Damn this is old. Came out the year I was born.

Hold on.... that means I'm old! =(

  • Just be glad that youre not 30 Ben.

  • lol @ juicy fruit:

take a sniff, pull it out, the taste is gonna move ya when you pop it in ur mouth

gee that sounds pretty good :P

  • HAHA fox kids club i think i used to be a member

  • Too bad Back To the Future for NES sucked ass

  • Worst video game based on a movie I've ever played... even though sadly I'm sure there's worse o.o

  • Umm... maybe Back to the Future pt. 2 & 3? I can't be sure since I haven't played that one. Then again, has anyone for that matter? I think everybody went "no f*****g way!" after playing the first POS.

  • dude the game was a piece of shit!, if you dont believe me ask the AVGN(angry video game nerd) he'll tell you himself

  • I saw dat video!!! It does seem like shit! AVGN is funny! Dat dude go hard!!!

  • lol yeah he does

  • Id take it that youve never played REN & STIMPY on GENESIS. LOL

  • Oh man, I completely forgot about the Juicy Fruit Jingle!

  • Wow back to the future videogame blows!!!!! The movie is awesome though.

  • Wow a "new" I'd like to buy the world a coke. Too bad '95 is more of my saturday morining era.

  • Ugh frostingless pop-tarts.......

  • the kid with the sunglasse in the fox kid club commercial played in some of the full house episodes

  • OMG I was totally in the Fox Kids Club!

  • @chantillybass That's right! "Fox Kids Club" was the one that I remember back in younger years. In New York City, it was the "Fox 5 Kids Club" with DJ Katt.

  • These kids are probably in their 20s now...

    :P

  • Most of these commercials are left over from 1989. I would say this is probably February 1990, since the happy meal promotion wasn't SMB 3.(the Mario 3 promotion started around thanksgiving 1989 which is when the game was first released. It was re-released in early '90 to fix several proof read errors. Also, the Chip N' Dale's NES game commercial and Little Nemo game were airing around that time. I'm not really sure, I say this is Feb.

  • I joined the FOX KIDS CLUB in 1992 after I became a huge fan of Batman: TAS. I signed up using a display that was in Burger King & got the magazines every quarter up until the Fall of 1998.

  • Hmm, play Back to the Future... and disappear.

  • That milk ad is pretty cool! :O

  • Wow, I remember most of these.. especially that Juicy Fruit commercial! :)

  • i miss these commercials

  • I LOOOOOOVED that Juicy Fruit commercial with the skiiers when I was a little kid. What a rush seeing that again.

  • 2:00 mark, I still HAVE those sneakers
