St. Anger IS an okay album... not my personal favorite n as for Death Magnetic, I think it could do without the Unforgiven 3, unless they had managed to somehow link it to the other 2. those two not only shared similar musicality, but also shared life-like stories within the lyrics. i couldnt understand the story of the Unforgiven 3 however...

well honestly, not only does it add a deeperness to the ka-chunk, but they ain't gettin no younger, so the vocal highs are bit easier to keep in tune by detuning the instruments that half step, IMO, studio takes are always optimal n fresh, live are a repetetive nightly strain on the vocal chords, ever been horse after screamin at a concert all night? yeah, ok now do that every night for the next 9 months :P
