Some more than others, but I couldn't say I disliked a single one because of the variety. I like many different types of music, & Metallica's one of few bands I've found which has traversed almost every genre of music I like.
Slayer for example has only one major style, & have to be in a certain mood to listen to it, but I listen to Metallica almost daily because they're versatile.
Yes, South Of Heaven, Diabolus, & God Hates Us All are all departures from Slayer's main sound, but there's one thing all Slayer songs have in common: They're all brutally heavy. They've never made any ballads, or slow, melodic songs. Slayer always sounds like Slayer, and that's a good thing in a way, but that means I can easily tire of them. If I get sick of Angel Of Death, I'm not going to go listen to Jihad, because there extremely similar, even though they were recorded 20 years apart.

coc is one of the best bands of the late 20 years. they wrote a lot of great heavy stuff, invented a genre (hardcore metal, with bands like dri or cro mags) and then turned to a suthern fried metal, end they wrote also wonderful ballads, listen to albatross or to thirteen angels. when metallica sucked, reload era, they where at their best. honestly, metallica is my favourite band ever, but now coc is the band who keeps the flame (of heavyness) alive.intelligent music, with deep roots.

What if you like it all because you genuinely enjoy it? Metallica hasn't made a song I don't enjoy listening to. Some more than others, but I couldn't say I disliked a single one because of the variety. I like many different types of music, & Metallica's one of few bands I've found which has traversed almost every genre of music I like.
Slayer for example has only one major style, & have to be in a certain mood to listen to it, but I listen to Metallica almost daily because they're versatile.

Yes, South Of Heaven, Diabolus, & God Hates Us All are all departures from Slayer's main sound, but there's one thing all Slayer songs have in common: They're all brutally heavy. They've never made any ballads, or slow, melodic songs. Slayer always sounds like Slayer, and that's a good thing in a way, but that means I can easily tire of them. If I get sick of Angel Of Death, I'm not going to go listen to Jihad, because there extremely similar, even though they were recorded 20 years apart.

coc is one of the best bands of the late 20 years. they wrote a lot of great heavy stuff, invented a genre (hardcore metal, with bands like dri or cro mags) and then turned to a suthern fried metal, end they wrote also wonderful ballads, listen to albatross or to thirteen angels. when metallica sucked, reload era, they where at their best. honestly, metallica is my favourite band ever, but now coc is the band who keeps the flame (of heavyness) alive.intelligent music, with deep roots.

yeh, of course, but I think it's not their definitive album. when you are a multimillionaire band, you simply can't be genuine as in the early years, or when you where a little lad escaped from school, with true anger within. st. anger was a genuine album, more than death magnetic, in this sense, but musically death.. is better, I think we have to wait another album. anyway my apocalypse is a great schrappnell!!!

well o course st. anger is gonna be genuine after all they were going through. but i mean alot of their early stuff wasnt genuine as far as like lyrics that were personal go. they were writing bout war, death, ect. thats kind of what they are writing bout now, but i think theyve always kind of associated the lyrics with their own lives in one way or another, and that makes it genuine.

Metallica were silly not to take Pepper Keenan on as bassist. Truiljo may be a great bassist, but Keenan has proved himself to be a good songwriter and vocalist and he who could have, in my opinion, carried on the Newsted style of playing. I believe Metallica would be better today if they had Pepper. Still, the wankers wouldn't even take on Les Claypool! lol

Anyway... they are underrated and are better than many metal bands that are way more known than them (i.e. Dragonforce, Trivium, Children of Bodom, Machine Head, etc.)

CoC fans listen to CoC because is the music they like. CoC just do what they want to do without being forced by anyone to do anything else like happened with Metallica in the Load era.
