.What do you mean by pre-pooing? I have never heard of conditioning without shampooing. I have an Olive oil perm in my hair & I have organic Leave in Mayonnaise & the small gold packs of Olive oil condition replenisher. I recently bought Herbal oil w/Ginseng & Olive & Clove oil. I oil my scalp w/the Herbal ev otha day & I want to learn how to utilize the Clove oil so please instruct me on how to use my products & do u hot oil first than shampoo or vise versa
I'm like misanneone, i don't have a drier & i've NEVER heard of cowashing b4. I bought africas best herbal & I left petroleum alone & I recently bought olive oil Clove oil bc I was introduced to jojoba oil & basically both of them have impressive ingredients. I thought you are supposed to hot oil your hair b4 shampooing & conditioning. & how do you heat up the towel?
how ofter should you apply the hot oil hair treatment? once a week or so? and which coconut oil do you feel works best? if you don't mind my asking :]
Hi, i ever did a hot oil treatment on my hair , i am natural also , thank you so very much for sharing this video, it was very helpful , i am going to have to try this , GOD bless you in your family , keep up the amazing work :)
@pmdallday yes of course! i do this at least once a week. and it makes your hair really healthy which is a big step to growing your hair out. im also in the process.
Love the ketchup and mustard bottles idea...I live in Korea and have been having a hard time finding those types of bottles that come empty. Hopefully I can find some ketchup and mustard bottles..lol
All i can say is great video. it helped me alot. I had that hot six oil sitting for several weeks and thought I knew I should but when I saw your video I did and watched yu at the same time. My hair thanks yoU!!
i just picked up some hot six oil today smells really good! off topic tho, you have some very sexy lips and look like your a great kisser! id love to taste! lol
Yes, In this video when I came back with the towel on my hair, that was after a cowash ( conditioner wash) I rarely use shampoo. I don't do this very often, only when I feel as though my hair is dry.
The African Royale Hot Six Oil and Coconut oil are my favorites. You can use what ever naturals oils that you like. Just make sure that they are 100% natural for the deepest penetration
would you suggest a coconut hot oil treatment prior to wash and then condition? or the other way around? i have natural hair, no perms, no dye, but sheds when i wash and it sheds when i flat iron. i do use heat protectors prior to drying(blow dryer) and prior to flat ironing. i only wash and flat iron once a week. so i was just wondering on the hot oil treatment, would this help the shedding possibly
What you are describing is a prepoo, with oils. I don't do prepoo's ( just not for me) The shedding may subside if you put less stress on your hair for a period of time. For some people even once a week is too much for heat styling.
@bliss070 yes, I rinse the oils out with water until I can not feel it on the strands. The oil that remains is the what is absorbed into the hair strands
Yes, dry and frizzy hair can benefit from hot oil treatments. Weekly deep conditioning is good for frizzy hair along with certain products and serums.
What brand of coconut oil do you use? It seems to be liquified. The one that I use is solid. It melts easily in my hands but yours seems to have the same consistency as the Hot Six Oil.
I used extra virgin coconut oil from walmart ( I threw the jar out and don't remember the brand name) It was crazy hot in my room today so the coconut oil liquified. It's solid in lower temperatures.
so do you rince out the oil afterwards? I wasn't clear on that part.

@MsHeyall yes, you rinse it out.

I wouldn't recommend heating the oil in the microwave but you can heat the water up that way and then place the oil inside.
