  • What was that computer on the desk? 0:03 A vic 20? comadore 64? lol You have to have had one to understand.

  • The crowd were perplexed during the performance however they cheered and clapped afterwards.

  • I've never seen a crowd so utterly mystified. I can't say I blame them. If some clowns decided to come and play some avant-garde synthpop to me, I'd be fucking terrified too.

  • Can't get over the crowd, even those in the balconies - I figured they'd get it, oh well - square crowd.

  • it went way over the head of the crowd. i think they were expecting Boy George and Culture club. LOL. AON is 50 years before there time!

  • Im just like every one else what in the fuck is up with this audience they're performing for. Are they all strung out or burnt out, damn they dead.

  • i dislike the crowd

  • Green screens....seriously cool!

  • 10 years ahead of their time is correct ,unprecedented

  • God, I envy those who were there and saw it live.....!

  • All of this gear now fits on an iPhone.

  • @beauhall You'd probably break it in the process though, since it looks rather heavy.

  • Nice Girls on end of video, hehehhee

  • Brings back memories when I saw them live at the Hammersmith Odeon in the 80's!

    Those were the days!

  • 観客が「オレたちはこの音楽にどうやって乗ったらいいんだ?」と戸惑っている様子がいいネ!

  • Kraftwerk started!!!

  • nice one papa lol

  • unbelievable ! I love it

  • Magicians

  • Where can I get a copy of this show?

  • the crowd looked like they were bored with this

  • THE A.O.N. were HOT in the states as well as overseas ..... they perfected what most HIP HOP artists have just picked up on in recent years - the art of playing/sampling/digital programming to create MUSIC ...... your big name RAP PRODUCERS are just doin' what A.O.N. stumbled upon in the 80s ..... A.O.N. STILL KICKS ASS !!! Let's see today's producers come up with original stuff like this ? I THINK NOT !!

  • @anonymousent Not to mention Kraftwerk which is responsible for AON. These old timers need more respect than "lil wayne" and other assholes

  • There's £60,000 worth of Fairlight on that stage!

  • @astrophonix indeed! probably never been so many together in one place before or since!

  • @astrophonix And a PPG Wave, MemoryMoog and more.

  • Art of Noise in the raw!!!! Brilliant!!! The audience must of been scratching their heads wondering what the hell was going on!!!! No-one ever used sampling like Art of Noise, before or since. Very tongue-in-cheek.

  • As a fan of all those early 80's ZTT products (Frankie goes to Hollywood, Propaganda, Art of Noise), I've always been captivated by the whole ZTT presentation - from their bizarre album liner notes to the inspiring recordings.

Thanks (Hank) for uploading this video. What a treat!

  • Art of Noise rock. There was nothing like them at the time and there's been nothing like them since.

  • like the crowd reaction can you dance to this?

  • To previous comment on playback, you ever play a Fairlight? No thought not. I have owned 2, this is genius, the fact that all 3 are in sync is a feat in it's own right, Dr Click, linked to a Linn LM1 via tape sync and outputting to the Fairlights, awesome, those where the days!! So please don't comment of you understand what you are watching, this was musical history - the start of the revolution.....tra la la.

  • @OnProductionTV i agree.. how old are the art of noise? ive been a fan for a couple years

  • Three Fairlights??!!? That's a bit excessive, not to mention expensive!!!

  • @cygnusx555 u must be out your mind.....beat box and close to the edit are jams, you must be young

  • I am wondering why there aren't bands or groups like this today anymore.

  • @ghostwriter71 because of computerised music thats why, all people need theese days to be a professional musician is a computer

  • love the song but this shit is so fake its crazy. its easy to play live when you just letting the song play. wack ass shit.

  • This is the first time i see Gary Langan....

  • Just the best... still holds up as incredible music years later... guess that's what happens when the music is so well composed. But geez, that crowd... if only they knew they were witnessing musical history. But I must say.... I would have been slightly more excited in the post-Horn "In Visible / In No Sense?" era... am I crazy for thinking those two records (with "Who's Afraid", of course) were their best?

  • @strweed mexico loves art of noise since 1984!!!!! good one!!!

learn something groups of this century

    aprendan de art of noise

  • They were 10 years ahead of their time. The audience understood nothing. Amazing equipment, no low budget stuff...

  • Strange, if they didn't understand then why did they clap their hands?

  • wtf what kind of audience is that?! no appreciation....

  • @TamzinQ Look lets be honest. TAON were never mainstream popular.

They did what they did but never became massive in the top 40 or popular with proper 80s musicains.

A handfull of people in the 80s loved them.

  • @StephenSuttieHouse thanks for your viewpoint stephen. you are truly a worthless fuck. go stick your head in a toilet

  • @alienmode You dont like the truth.

I like them. To really judge something you have to look at what was happening around it.

Art Of Noice had a fan group that REALLY love the music.

But TAON werent a Duran Duran or The Smiths.

Look at that crowd for example.

  • @StephenSuttieHouse lol moron

  • @sparkey989 Ale Petrenko je jen jeden.

  • Go I love this song... the crowd was DEAD though.... I"m listening and popping in my seat right now... I can't imagine how I would be if I saw them live

  • ..and the genius of Trevor Horn!

  • the ultimate group of engineers and musicians assembled

  • wow....this is classic song!!!!
