Great video. Will you be doing a video about the Famous Shogi Game Yonenaga versus Bonkras on January 14 2012?

For 8:54 would a promoted pawn drop at c9 by black not be a good drop? The king would be in check, the knight at a8 would capture, the silver at d9 would capture the knight and then the king would be in checkmate.

@defern64 After that king can move to 8a, because the tokin is on 6b, not 7b.

Here is how I think it should work:

Black: Bishop 7D Drop

White: Rook 7D Capture

Black: Gold to 8B Checkmate
