@kayu38 alright first race was a blown blower belt which happens pretty commonly with high performance vehicles and the second race (if you know anything about drag racing and its technique) if you spin the tires on the launch your pretty much done right then and there, get your facts straight before you call something out like that.

I'm one of Rosey's current students and he told us that during the test runs before the actual race, an important racing peice (can't remember what it's called, something belt) fell off 5/7 trials.

During the real race against Derek, the belt fell off during one run, and the second run the car was stuck in water.

Basically, Rosey got shafted because the belt fell off 6/10 times, and the people setting up the event did not fix it.

I worked with the media crew during the event. The "people setting up the event" DID fix the belt. Rosey over-reved the engine when doing his burnout at the line, and HE blew the belt.

And in PINKS, there aren't second chances.

There were specific instructions on how to do the burnout. They weren't followed.

Thats a line lock. Most drag racers dont use a push button activated nitrous system. Its too much of a hassle. Also sitting there in place and hitting a nos button would just blow your car up. You never use nos unless your at wide open throttle or you rean way lean and detonate your block.

Wow. The teacher was unlucky. For the comments about it being staged - I think they would have made it a little closer (a lot closer)? Without the blower the teacher had only 3/5 the horsepower of the student. The second race... moving the teacher up got him out of the good & sticky part of the track. That allowed the tires to spin rather than "hook" like they should. Either that or he's a really nice teacher who let the kid win his dream car - but since he spun I think he was really trying.
