Ugh. I just flipped thru Rebirth #2. The Gorilla City cave paintings: ridiculous, hamfisted attempt to turn superhero schlock into mythological resonance. "My master, Savitar!" What crap. All the lighting coming out of every Allen orifice, which has nothing to do with the "Black Flash" revelation. Barry magically changes costume in the blink of the eye the second Wally decides that he's "THE NEW BLACK FLASH!" Weird head size on full-page shot of Iris Allen coming down the court steps...

IF this is all tied to TBN, then it would have been much smarter to leave Barry dead and make an adult Bart the Black Flash, then whatever they do to save him could revert him back to teenage status and really, noone could complain.

Have either of you guys read Flash: Iron Heights? Reason I ask is because its Johns and Van Sciver on Wally West. I really like it and wonder how that compares to this.

What l don't get is, l don't remember there being a huge push by the fans 2 get the original Flash back. Though that would'nt be a good reason 4 bringing him back either. How many more resurections r we going 2 get B4 enough is enough?

Hell, at this rate, l'm half expecting the next Marvel/DC joint venture 2b the ghosts of Ma&Pa Kent along w/ Thomas&Martha Wayne in a knock down drag out against a zombified Capt.&Gwen Stacy!

Barry Allen is back because that's what Dan Didio wants plain and simple. I don't think he cares about what the fans want. If he did he would know that we want good comics to come out of DC and not these fucking terrible stories that are running through most, not all, of the main books currently.

You know I got no problem with the revival of Barry Allen, I just hate how they brought him back. One of you guys said he should have come back as a black lantern, that would have been cool. now if the lanterns come back to life in some way, that's a toss up choice. Could be good or bad. Anyway I just feel Barry should come back, just not as the Flash. Wally is just way better.

At the risk of showing my age (or relative lack thereof), Knightfall is the comic that got me into comics. Well, to be perfectly accurate, it got me into *Batman*, and years later when I discovered The Dark Knight Returns, *that* got me into comics in general. So I'll always have a special place in my heart for Knightfall.

But only the first volume. The other two volumes are shit.
