I never honestly used shake, it didn't stick with me. I find that I only use smash up to maximize and smash to the side to make it use half the screen. You guys should rip off expose though it's reaaally handy. Windows 8 perhaps?
The shake is really quick and will become natural after you use it. I'd try it out and for yourself to see if it's going to be a useful feature for you.
it took me a while to see that aero shake feature and i get it. Its pretty useful. I think the best things about windows 7 are the ssplit screening of windows and i like that the taskbar shows a program and all activity when u scroll over it. I can't wait for Directx11 graphics because my laptop is great for gaming.
Don't know where they got all those keys from...its just F9 on a mac and it will show you all the windows that are open, then just select which one you want. On top of that Mac has spaces, multiple windows, not taking up your screen space that you can switch between easily.
I'm not trying to argue about it, I'm just saying. And I'm not going to argue about this but in my opinion, the winner between the bands is The Beatles
Why not compare Mac to Windows? Clearly they have similarities and they are the two most common operating systems. If I am about to purchase a system, I definitely want to see the pros and cons of both so I can make a better informed decision. :/
Ehh Im using W7 RC right now, and to be honest, this aero shake sucks. I need to shake the window very fast almost making a pain in my palm to make it work... I hope they fixed that in RTM. A.S. simply requires way too much shaking to notice a shake.
I can detect a little error in the video. 1st, when you shake a window, it don't go behind the "shaked window", it goes to the SuperBar/TaskBar. 2nd It looks like Aero is not enabled in the Laptop.
are you sure, when i go up to the menu bar and select hide others it makes all other apps disappear and when i press show all it brings them back like nothing happen.
Ok thats cool and i guess it could be quicker then pressing some buttons :)
But i find it funny that they do fundamentally the same thing :) and i don't remember vista or xp having the hide other feature until Windows 7 and i remember the Mac OS X has had it for awhile. but lets give credit where credit is due, Windows 7 did it somewhat better the Mac :)

I always wondered, why they just can't make an extra button next to the close, minimize, and restore buttons that does the same function. Why shake?

Why are you advertising an old feature?

Stop comparing windows to a mac, it's like me comparing U2 to the beatles.

You need to drag window 3 times , sometimes 5to7 from side to side , quite big delay, I rather click show desktop and open my desired Window

It seems like a lot of work to have to shake a window. I'd rather just have a shortcut button.... like Windows+D

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Apple made something similar to this in 2003 with the release of Mac OS X 10.3 "Panther", it's called Exposé.
