@Swansen03 I think he's so fast simply because of the downforce. He can feel the traction through the downforce. Not sayin I can do what he can, take his lap time and add 1:30, that would be mine!

definitely, but you still have to be a man, to want to drive that fast in the first place. If you go to slow you don't create enough down force to keep traction without weight.

I've seen a number of videos, Formula and other class cars drive "Tha Ring", but this driver - Micheal Verges ?? has got to be - or was - among the finest in the world, ever. He doesn't have a paddle shifter, wrestling this awsome machine around corners with one hand, you can hear the suspension bottom out corner after corner, yet he kept that ULTRA FAST and squirrely SR8 on the track hammering out an absolutely fantastic time.

To the one who posted the video, officially the "all cars" lap record is still held by Stefan Bellof since 1983 with a Porsche 956.

Heidfeld could probably have beaten it if he had gone at full speed and if he had had proper tyres instead of crappy Bridgestone demo tyres.

I check out his website daily. The engine is a hartley v8 and he is testing it right now on a Ariel Atom. When he drops the engine on the dp1 it's going to be a MONSTER!!!

Concidering the Hartley website is vague as to how many tried and tested units actually exist maybe judgment should be reserved until they have produced over 75 race proven units? (Powertec V8's are also winning in rallying and grasstracking amongst others).

Well its hard to say b/c there are several corses within the Nurburgring

Like Nordschleife(N loop), Gesamtstrecke (whole), Südschleife (S loop), and Zielschleife

Actually Now, that I have googled it up. I think this car beat it, and has the fastest time. 6'55" on the 13 mile Nordschleife

That thing is stupidly fast.

When i drove it in my 1.6 clio (lol) i almost crashed at the corner at 2 minutes and i burst my tire at the corner at 2.29. Was one of the best things ive done even if it did take 12 minutes. I strongly suggest people go along and drive it in their own cars, its a lot of fun.
