is it just me or they made these laptops just to compete with Thinkpads. I got one thinkpad, it is so much similar to this dell laptop. Metal hinges, track point button etc...
My laptop is in terrible condition now, and I treat it with respect. The hinges are loose, the back of the lid is chipped, one of the eject buttons have snapped off and the clip snapped off. Glad I have a 3 year warantee on it
Hey! I have this laptop and I was wondering how you work the webcam? i've been trying to use it but websites say that they can't detect the camera :/ ?
@LawrenceLouie thanks. I think you're right, but the price of the E6410 ist much expensive. My actual offer: E6410, i7, 4 GB, Backlit, 3 years Guarantee, 3 year Accu, 3 year complete care, win 7 Ultimate 64, 1400x900 = 1.400 EURO
I use it only fpr Office and Internet - so its a little bit overpowered ^^
@andarcjunk no problem. If you want to find out more about the new Latitude E series check out my channel. I have the Dell Latitude E6510 review on there. So it can give you some ideas .
Is there any light source for Dell laptops to illuminate the keyboard? you know that thing that you have at ThinkPads Can you name me any of those laptops?
@tobysutube I would go for the Dell Latitude E6400 in Blue. Its currently at a good price and it has nice specs for the money. I would still stick with the Core 2 Duo processor but i would go with a clock speed of 2.53GHz or higher.
How to open backside plate to upgrdae memory? Try to take out scrools but still filing like sticked plate, just doesnt come of and I do not want to be to rough and damage or scratch laptop. Any idea for hel?
wow really???? you had it sent back just because it got scratched... are you the kind of person who has an iphone and has 6 screen protectors, and an armored case for it to ????
there was a problem with the latch that caused the bezel to rub against the palmiest that cause scratches. No rubber bumpers on the LCD Bezel itself. and yes i do have a screen protector on my Phone Specifically a LG Voyager. Im that kind of person who likes to keep their stuff in the best condition possible
depends on which t series you are comparing. If its the Thinkpad T400 then the Latitude will have a edge on it. If its the Thinkpad T400s then the e6400 has some serious competition
very true...but i am talking about in general, the thinkpads are more durable, expandable, and of course, are very intuitive and have a great array of features. The Trackpoint pointing device was introduced by Thinkpads (the little blue nub in the center). Also, what do you think of the latitude e5400 and e5500 a step down from this series? I have a vostro 1015 from january of this year and it is rock solid for $500 Can you please compare this with another laptop such as a dell latitude d series
well i currently have the Dell Latitude E6500. In my personal opinion the Latitude E5500 and e5400 they are great for basic tasks and stuff but the build quality is a slight strep down from the e6500 and e6400. but to compare to the older D series the build quality should be slightly identical.
I do know that a few companies out there got the pointing stick idea from Thinkpads but its nice to see them on most business laptops. Its a great feature and well i applaud IBM for that
Would you say the latitudes are compatible with Dell docks from the D generation. I have read on Dell's website that they are but I want to know if that is true. Also, what about the heat related issues that elbigjim was talking about? Do you reccemond vostro series or lattitude series?
Thanks for your feedback. I have been planning to buy a laptop. My options are either HP Elitebook 6930p or Dell Latitude 6400. I can't find any comparison on the net. Can you suggest me which one is better. I am not a gamer.
Great review! I'm about to get this laptop for my universities business program. It's required, which sucks that they require a laptop, but they require this one or the e6500 so I'm glad it's good.
oh okay. im still traumatized by the size of that rat i saw on the subway.. (O.O) nice lappy btw pally. i got the dell studio 15. how much did yours cost? man i love gadgets.
Total bill was $2,150. have the 3 year Pro Support Warranty / 3 year Gold Support and 3 Years of Complete Care which includes Accidental coverage. I actually like the Dell Studio 15. whats the specs on your notebook
man im suprised a guy like you would've bought a mac instead lol. they claim dell is crap. you know the religious macfans.. thatll bombard the place youre in if you insult mac in front of em, (@.@) wow.. @ the complete care.. with accidental coverage. you have sweet specs for your latitude.. i have the 1535, with the touch sensible buttons ontop. havent had a problem with it. for the last 9 months. 230 gig hard drive,.. customer care support. that only includes hardware malfunction...
and,.. a 3 year mcafee subscription. lol its not as fancy as yours.. but it was a b-day gift. i personally am going to have a backlit keyboard attached to it. and the gaming is moderate. i could play team fortress 2. lol. so hows the gaming on your latitude? pally? HAPPY you got that dell laptop lolz
thats uber nice... lol my dell can only withstand team fortress 2 and half life 2. but i can get it customized with a faster processor but i has an xbox360 already lol. btw you gotta try team fortresss 2 for some hillarious online multiplaying pally. k? (^_^)
hell yeah youll have a blast. lol, i mean they die so horribly and.. so funny at the same time. its only 20 bucks and the updates are free from valve.
