@HawaiianShooter I've used both, IMO the TA01 is a little more user friendly when ranging a target at different distances from 100 to 300m. However at shorter distances I'd say the TA31's are very fast and efficient with the Bindon aiming concept.
At Long Range Marksmanship school they taught us to cover the fiber optic with tape to get a more precise reticle. It improved point of aim immensely at longer ranges. As far as night time shooting...Both have tritium in them, so it's not an issue..
@HawaiianShooter Yes, though you don't get a very good cheekweld when using the Doctor. It works, however a mini dot mounted on a 45 degree would be better.
@ainfantry7 I just got one of the ACOG's the other day, It is really the most amazing things I have ever purchased. My good buddy that came back from Iraq sold me one of TA31's he had over there. I resold it for the money to start saving for ECOS. Good investment. Speaking of which, the flashlight you have, is that the M951? I have the M961 and its great. I put the CRE bulb in it. Over 100 yds of range. But its heavier.
@3mealsaday Awesome! I'm glad you got to mess around with one, I'll tell you there's nothing like an ACOG IMO...Yea, I had the M951...Sold it and got a surefire scout...worst decision ever!! It hardly lights up anything with that tiny LED...I wish there was a cheap option to make it brighter...
your unit lets you put all that on your weapon?

Do you prefer the Trijicon TA01 ACOG over the Trijicon TA31? As in a combat sight during day, night or whatever.

@ainfantry7 isnt that why there's a doctor Sight on top of the ACOG for the TA01 for close combat?
