3 people had a terrible child hood and hate their dads ,how can you dislike this video ?.........by the way i tried the recipe today and it's awesome.
That was a beautiful video.... My father and O recently had a massive falling out over somethignso stupid and you wont believe me but he was making this exact same thing and we sat down and had a glass of wine wiht out meal and we both broke down crying as we relised life to to short to fight over stupid shit like that... i begged him for the reciepie and he always says with a smile... if you behave ill leave it to you in the will LOL I love my old man lol
That was real sweet to watch!!! reminded me of my grandpa and me spending our wknds together and cooking all kinds of food, and i did try your recipe and it was delich!!!:)
The only things I would do differently, is... Ketchup instead of salt and sugar. Also I add Italian, oregano, and minced garlic. I prefer beef over turkey, I do not like the way ground turkey cooks.
for the meat, I usually add in a little of the sauce and mush it in with the meat and it mixes perfectly with the sauce. Thats easier to me than cooking the meat separately and making it smaller
Man, that looks awesome! Spaghetti has always been one of my favorite foods and your Dad's recipe certainly looks like no exception! I'm hungry all over agai! We've been eating turkey instead of beef in many recipes and you are correct, you can't tell the difference. You're right, I'm hungry, let's eat!! Suddenly, I'm craving spaghetti!
hi im a new helicopter pilot. i love you vids, and the spaghetti sauce its a once a week thang at my house now . its verry good, sorry bout dad, mines getting older and i cant imagine what it will be like when he goes,
Excellent video, Dave! Sorry for your loss, but I bet your dad would be happy to share his recipe this way. You're a good son. I've found that if you open both ends of a tomato paste can with a can opener and then just push one lid all the way through the can (like a pop-up deodorant container) and retrieve the can ends when they're in the pan, it's easier than trying to spoon it. It's sticky stuff!
you got my attention with this title - i really like spahet - sounds like an excellent sauce, but it struck me no rosemary, basil, GARLIC, (lots) maybe bay leaf, parsley, oregano - and thanks for divulging the recipe, these things are oftn considered secret and sacred
you got my attention with this title - i really like spahet - sounds like an excellent sauce, but it struck me no rosemary, basil, GARLIC, (lots) maybe bay leaf, parsley, oregano
p.s. If you have trouble with leftover spagetti sticking together. put a little cooking oil in it during boiling and that should help. thats what my grandma always did.
Dave you are a man of many talents! From your flying videos, to a touching tribute to your Dad through an excellent Spaghetti sauce recipe. I too, have a love of gadgetry, and like you, would have been a bit disappointed by the "RoboStir" that didn't. Oh well, the rest was well worth the effort, and I am very pleased that you took the time to share that with us. My compliments to the Chef !
A change from the monotony of RC stuff. Good video, btw I'm the guy from Louisiana that sent you the Honey Bee King 2 that you fixed. Good of you to share you fathers recipe to us. Thx, and as always, keep the videos coming. Always fun to watch.
Wow that looks delicious. I would like a plate. Lol my mom has her own recipe as well she is a fantastic cook. It would be awesome to try ur fathers recipe.
Dave..you got it right...Never rinse the pasta after it is cooked... The reason is it retains the starch on the surface and then the sauce sticks to the pasta!.. Yummo !
yummie- if ya like it a bit more italian, spice it with thyme, paprika powder, basil, garlic gloves, parmesan and creme fraiche.first fry the tomato paste with the meat, that takes the sour out. guten appetit.
hook up the vintage 1977 revell V-8 to the robo stir and kick the stirring into high gear...lol awesome vid makes me remember all the recipes i got from my Grandma she passed too soon and i still cherish them today
Is there a way you could get this RoboStir taking to the air? By the looks of how good it is, I would hazard a guess a few have been "Launched" already! LOL
Great video Dave, Now lets see some wings on that thing.. ツ
Gordon Ramsey watch out!!!!! Great job big brother and did you notice Dad stirring the sauce when you weren't looking? He so loved making that for us.... I am smiling thru the tears.... Sis
Nice to see a Bloke cook something so delicious ;)
Got the right idea with the bread and a salad - and of course a glass of Vino.
Also nice to see you Honouring your Dad, Dave.
I light a candle and eat with my Dad every night too - since '86 .
Reckon our Dads are upstairs with The Man, looking down on us and having a bit of a chuckle saying "...and they're *still* playing with those planes..."
The sauce looked good Dave. Like you, I learned to cook some great dishes from my mom and dad. One of the things I noticed you left out was garlic. I also like to start the meat out in virgin olive oil. A nice way to remember your dad. I know what we are having for dinner tonight. Tom
I really liked this video. A great tribute to your father too, may his spaghetti continue to delight the following generations and why not...the world.
Oh and why not give the robo stir another chance by doing one of your amazing mods on it. XD
looks great Dave , thats similar to the way we make ours and for the Two of us lasts a couple of nights, the only difference is we use Pure Virgin Olive Oil and do the Onions first and for the Spag use Rock Salt in the water, Cheers to your dear old Dad
thank you for sharing. i was fine until you set a place for your dad then i got teary-eyed. i lost my dad when i was 20. but every time i go fishing i take him with me.

It was fantastic to see the hand written recipe. That is some great cursive style, with home-y notations! I have a handwritten recipe one of my mom's meatloaf. You could put that recipe in a glass picture frame, and hang it up on the wall (out of direct sunlight, of course).
BTW, your father was right...S&W is a preferred brand of canned tomato. :)
I always like how you deviate time to time from RC stuff. They say one of the best ways to remember a loved one is to cook one of their recipes. Great video Dave.

A very nice way to honor your fathers legacy...remembering all of the little things which mean so much:) I'm 35 years old and my Father has a pretty amazing recipe for Spaghetti sauce, which I know he doesn't have written down anywhere, so I will now be sure to ask him if he wouldn't mind jotting it down for prosperity.
Thanks again Dave for another Great Video!
P.S. I thought the Robo Stir wouldn't be able to cut the mustard...pun intended:)
