  • nice video, the food looks good, and im sure your dad is very happy that you a tribute for him.

  • That looks good!

  • Great tribute to your dad. Very basic recipe and NO spices, Just add Basil, Oregano, Thyme, and it will be amazing, unless you're on a bland diet.

  • When the meat is started, the clock on the stove and oven reads 1:30. When it's finished it reads 6:58. Must take a long time to make that sauce.

  • no herbs / spices......oh dear......

  • 3 people had a terrible child hood and hate their dads ,how can you dislike this video ?.........by the way i tried the recipe today and it's awesome.

  • you make me hungry ...

  • This should taste deliciouuuuuus.

  • Awww

  • That was very kind of you to set a place at the table for your dad. Im sure he was there smelling all that great sauce!

  • That was a beautiful video.... My father and O recently had a massive falling out over somethignso stupid and you wont believe me but he was making this exact same thing and we sat down and had a glass of wine wiht out meal and we both broke down crying as we relised life to to short to fight over stupid shit like that... i begged him for the reciepie and he always says with a smile... if you behave ill leave it to you in the will LOL I love my old man lol

  • I got here from skyrim... Anyway resquiet in pace..(rest in peace on Latin)

  • Loved the video. RIP dad :)

  • I have a Robo stir and I find it works fine for sauces and cream sauce it keeps it from sticking. I don't use it is thick type food.

  • just made this... most excellent sir!!!

  • Made me hungrier than I expected. God bless, and rest in peace to your father. Sorry for your loss.

  • this is a shitload of tomato paste

  • i don't like your face

  • @kachichon I don't like your face either.

  • Looks delicious. Im hungry now... great job!

  • That was real sweet to watch!!! reminded me of my grandpa and me spending our wknds together and cooking all kinds of food, and i did try your recipe and it was delich!!!:)

  • Great video,

  • mmmmm that looks delecious i want to try to make some now thanks for the recepie......

  • Thanks alot this was really Great! i just had some and it was amazing!

  • ur right i am hungry

  • condolence fr ur dad..anyway that a g8 recepie

  • I put sauce on the pasta when it is cooked and drained, so it doesn't stick.....my grand-ma taught me how to cook....good Italian food

  • The only things I would do differently, is... Ketchup instead of salt and sugar. Also I add Italian, oregano, and minced garlic. I prefer beef over turkey, I do not like the way ground turkey cooks.

  • for the meat, I usually add in a little of the sauce and mush it in with the meat and it mixes perfectly with the sauce. Thats easier to me than cooking the meat separately and making it smaller

  • looks great

  • Rest in pice to all dads missed and gone miss you

  • Man, that looks awesome! Spaghetti has always been one of my favorite foods and your Dad's recipe certainly looks like no exception! I'm hungry all over agai! We've been eating turkey instead of beef in many recipes and you are correct, you can't tell the difference. You're right, I'm hungry, let's eat!! Suddenly, I'm craving spaghetti!

  • hi im a new helicopter pilot. i love you vids, and the spaghetti sauce its a once a week thang at my house now . its verry good, sorry bout dad, mines getting older and i cant imagine what it will be like when he goes,

  • i bet your wife loves you for cooking, good video :)

  • My Robo stir was so strong, it beat up a caveman!

  • Sorry about ur dad I am a huge fan of your rc videos I love flying and thanks for the recipe looks good

  • Ijustine!

  • nice job, and cool light up faucet

  • Excellent video, Dave! Sorry for your loss, but I bet your dad would be happy to share his recipe this way. You're a good son. I've found that if you open both ends of a tomato paste can with a can opener and then just push one lid all the way through the can (like a pop-up deodorant container) and retrieve the can ends when they're in the pan, it's easier than trying to spoon it. It's sticky stuff!

  • you got my attention with this title - i really like spahet - sounds like an excellent sauce, but it struck me no rosemary, basil, GARLIC, (lots) maybe bay leaf, parsley, oregano - and thanks for divulging the recipe, these things are oftn considered secret and sacred

  • you got my attention with this title - i really like spahet - sounds like an excellent sauce, but it struck me no rosemary, basil, GARLIC, (lots) maybe bay leaf, parsley, oregano

  • I was like did you switch from R/C's to cooking? now i see. why would ne 1 us a RoboStir in the first place? Never seen this device before.

    Now im hungry

  • That looks good, now I'm hungry.

  • This is great Dave.

p.s. If you have trouble with leftover spagetti sticking together. put a little cooking oil in it during boiling and that should help. thats what my grandma always did.

  • Thanks Dave now I'm hungry !!!

  • nice vid dave ^^ - oh, this video was a pain in the.. yeah... cuz im hungry >_<

  • your awesome dave. love ya.

  • The knowledge a father imparts to his children is priceless! Thanks for sharing!!

  • Dave you are a man of many talents! From your flying videos, to a touching tribute to your Dad through an excellent Spaghetti sauce recipe. I too, have a love of gadgetry, and like you, would have been a bit disappointed by the "RoboStir" that didn't. Oh well, the rest was well worth the effort, and I am very pleased that you took the time to share that with us. My compliments to the Chef !

  • A change from the monotony of RC stuff. Good video, btw I'm the guy from Louisiana that sent you the Honey Bee King 2 that you fixed. Good of you to share you fathers recipe to us. Thx, and as always, keep the videos coming. Always fun to watch.

  • One simple thing that will make the sauce even better is let it set over night. It is one of the best things you can do to improve your sauce.

  • i really enjoy cooking videos

  • Wow that looks delicious. I would like a plate. Lol my mom has her own recipe as well she is a fantastic cook. It would be awesome to try ur fathers recipe.

    Your friend Mig Vee

  • YUMMY! :0)

  • That looks delicious.

  • Very nice Dave...very nice!

  • tomato paste is the best thing ever!

  • that looked mighty good Mr.Herbert, sorry to hear about your dad.

  • wow just got breakfast, and after seeing this just makes me wanna go and make spaghetti all day long. reallly mouthwatering

  • im goning to eat that to dinner, time to go to the grocerie store!!!

  • Dave..you got it right...Never rinse the pasta after it is cooked... The reason is it retains the starch on the surface and then the sauce sticks to the pasta!.. Yummo !

  • yummie- if ya like it a bit more italian, spice it with thyme, paprika powder, basil, garlic gloves, parmesan and creme fraiche.first fry the tomato paste with the meat, that takes the sour out. guten appetit.

  • Hah that RoboStir, since you modify most your planes you should give the RoboStir a trip to the shop.

Anyways great video and that dish looks fantastic indeed, i bet it tasted very good.

    73s

  • Nice video. My dad was a grate cook. I miss him a ton. Have a good 4th Dave.

  • Dave, I think you could best the RoboStir with your own design of contra-rotating, or counter rotating dual stirrers! :)

  • The Robostir could use some of Dave's improvements. :-)

  • I'm sure your Dad is proud of his son :) Thank you Dave!

  • I can smell it from here :) Cheers to you and your father! Thanks for the video Dave.

  • Replace RoboStir batterys with a 2-Cell LiPo 7.4V(or try 11,1V) and I bet it stirs that sauce :)

  • couldnt decide what to eat for dinner today... and i know now. haha going down into food storage to see if we have canned tomato sauce...

  • Does not matter what you do Dave we love it!

    ATB GM

  • Awesome video as always!!! *runs off to the kitchen*

  • nice dave,

sure makes my mouth water and it's half past 9 in the morning here!

    keep e'm cookin

  • thanks for sharing

  • hook up the vintage 1977 revell V-8 to the robo stir and kick the stirring into high gear...lol awesome vid makes me remember all the recipes i got from my Grandma she passed too soon and i still cherish them today

  • now its 3:10 am in germany right now and im starting to fiel hungry^^

    thx dave xD

  • Is there a way you could get this RoboStir taking to the air? By the looks of how good it is, I would hazard a guess a few have been "Launched" already! LOL

Great video Dave, Now lets see some wings on that thing.. ツ

  • Time to mod the Robo stir with some LiPo power!

  • did the cameraman get pasta?

  • Gordon Ramsey watch out!!!!! Great job big brother and did you notice Dad stirring the sauce when you weren't looking? He so loved making that for us.... I am smiling thru the tears.... Sis

  • @bearinstincts Thanks Sis. He was right there guiding me along the whole way. Glad you liked it.

  • @bearinstincts Respect and sorry to hear about your loss - both of you. But I reckon your Dad left you a good legacy - that sauce looks YUMMO!

    Q:)

  • Nice to see a Bloke cook something so delicious ;)

Got the right idea with the bread and a salad - and of course a glass of Vino.

Also nice to see you Honouring your Dad, Dave.

I light a candle and eat with my Dad every night too - since '86 .

Reckon our Dads are upstairs with The Man, looking down on us and having a bit of a chuckle saying "...and they're *still* playing with those planes..."

    Q:)

  • The sauce looked good Dave. Like you, I learned to cook some great dishes from my mom and dad. One of the things I noticed you left out was garlic. I also like to start the meat out in virgin olive oil. A nice way to remember your dad. I know what we are having for dinner tonight. Tom

  • Nice tribute to your dad. God bless him and all the lives your dad touched.

  • @matacksthedude HAHA, good idea. Run it on a 6S lipo... don´t forget to use 35C, you don´t want your lipo to puff... LOL

  • Tear jerker at the end there, Much respect and love.

  • I felt hungry after watching this video. Thanks Dave!!!!!

  • what a great way to pay tribute to your father. solute to Have Herbert, his father and family. might have to see how my mom likes it. SEMPER FI

  • I really liked this video. A great tribute to your father too, may his spaghetti continue to delight the following generations and why not...the world.

Oh and why not give the robo stir another chance by doing one of your amazing mods on it. XD

  • looks great Dave , thats similar to the way we make ours and for the Two of us lasts a couple of nights, the only difference is we use Pure Virgin Olive Oil and do the Onions first and for the Spag use Rock Salt in the water, Cheers to your dear old Dad

  • thank you for sharing. i was fine until you set a place for your dad then i got teary-eyed. i lost my dad when i was 20. but every time i go fishing i take him with me.

  • great video, made me very hungry though! :D

  • Thanks Again Dave, another good video

  • You should try to add the tomato paste to the browned beef first, fry that for a bit, add the stewed tomato after. Tomato paste is usually cooked in fat before being used in the sauce as the thickener, like adding flour to pork fat. Some people do not like "raw" tomato paste, I like both though, so your fathers recipe is still tops in my books.

  • You make perfect videos one after another without fail! A really great instructional video as well as a very kind tribute to your dad.

  • Very nice. My mom pasted 5 yrs ago may and it seems like it was yesterday I really miss her but I often think of how much fun she would have had with my kids (12,7,6 all girls) I am looking forward to trying your dads recipe.

  • your dad would really appreciate this.

  • Great video dave thanks for posting

  • Color of the sauce looked really vivid. Great Video and great tribute to your dad!

  • Cooking with Dave! i loveit!

  • sad to hear your dad passed but it looks like he lived a long and great life

  • why not try to upgrade the robo stir to have a little more powerfull motor?

  • A very nice way to remember your dad. Looks awesome, I'm hungry now also ;-)

  • Did you get your faucet spout from thinkgeek?

  • Very sweet Dave! That's nice recipe.

It was fantastic to see the hand written recipe. That is some great cursive style, with home-y notations! I have a handwritten recipe one of my mom's meatloaf. You could put that recipe in a glass picture frame, and hang it up on the wall (out of direct sunlight, of course).

BTW, your father was right...S&W is a preferred brand of canned tomato. :)

  • Break out another table-setting. I`ll be there in a minute. Glad You didn`t

have to rely on the Robo-junk. I`m hungry. Nice props to Your Dad.

    See You in a couple............................

  • I'm reporting RoboStir to the Better Business Bureau!!!!

  • You should do more vids like this. Thank you for posting.

  • Cheers to all the dads out their!!! great vid!!

  • I always like how you deviate time to time from RC stuff. They say one of the best ways to remember a loved one is to cook one of their recipes. Great video Dave.

  • You are making me hungry here Mr. Herbert!

Great video and thanks for uploading!

  • nice, usually people talk about grandma's recipes lol

Btw, you would look great with a white hat Dave, a real chef ! haha

Seriously, I'm glad you made this tribute to your dad, it shows you respect and miss him a lot, I'm sure he was/is very proud of you. Enjoy all the nice memories.

  • @beverke7 Gosh, thanks so much. I am happy you enjoyed this and appreciate your loyalty and comments.

    Thanks again. Dave

  • A very nice way to honor your fathers legacy...remembering all of the little things which mean so much:) I'm 35 years old and my Father has a pretty amazing recipe for Spaghetti sauce, which I know he doesn't have written down anywhere, so I will now be sure to ask him if he wouldn't mind jotting it down for prosperity.

Thanks again Dave for another Great Video!

P.S. I thought the Robo Stir wouldn't be able to cut the mustard...pun intended:)

  • @realtvnow I really appreciate the fact that you see the value in remembering the past. It gets more important as we get older. Thanks so very kindly for your comments. Now go get your Dad to write his down. Someday, you will be glad you did. Dave

  • you could be a tv chef

  • Nice recipe, looks very delicious. I'll try this sometime.

  • @benadrylp Thanks kindly. I am sure you will like it.

  • the comment below me did not say 1st. this is very rare to see.
