  • ^.^ that epic moment at 3:13

  • Wow That Was a fantastic tutorial on how to make crochet.

  • Whats a multiple? :O

  • @stargaze97 A multiple is how many chains/stitches will be needed to complete each individual pattern stitch. For example, with the shell, you will need 6 to complete one shell. You work a 5 double crochet shell in one stitch, skip two stitches, work a single crochet skip two stitches

  • @tjw1963 If you want to work with 20 shells, you take 6x20=120. That will be a chain of 120

  • This is one fantastic stitch, I love it...Thanks for the easy tutorial that you gave....I tell you now, that you are the one I go to for any and all instructions...you make it so easy....I know I will follow your for quite awhile....Thanks for roses, pansies, shells, and all others......Love it

  • @TheCalicoTwo You are welcome!

  • Hi Teresa ... would love to use this stitch to make a hat like the star stitch hat. Would I manage the increases the same as for the star stitch hat and would my second row of the stitch be hdc as in the star stitch? Thanks!

  • I appreciate the comment, thank you.

  • Hi, thanks for this tutorial!

I've been trying to do it but i have problems adding the HDC, so I'll really apreciate if you could tell me ¿How many CH do you use to start?

  • Hey thanks for this tutorial!! You are very talented.. I tried this pattern but i seem to be doing something wrong i end up wt a pyramid shape lol.... the "star" is there and looks nice but i cant get it to look like a square..

  • It sounds like you could be missing another stitch if it is turning in to a triangle.

  • This stitch also reminds me of the bottom part of a catherine's wheel

  • I got a question.... I was wondering if there is a drop stitch to this pattern? Im thinking of making an afghan with this stitch for a friend of mine, but I want to get a bit more creative and do a drop stitch affect with it.

  • No dropstitch.

  • HI, TJW1963 I'm sure glade to your still around gifting us with your talent. I learned with my MOM to crochet when I was 6 yrs.old and I just loss her so i totaly stop doing it, but you have motivated me . THANKS ANDGOD BLESS.KNITTIN66

  • Thank you. :) I am sorry about your mom. ~~Teresa

  • Im sorry to hear about her :(

  • Hi happy New Year!! I totally love your work but if you can would you please crochet a baby sweater I would love to make that thank you so much .. God bless!!!

  • Thank you. Happy New Year to you too.

  • Woow! That looks hard...

  • Give it a try and you will change your mind. :)

  • Thanks! You're so professional!

  • Excellent video and excellent explanation of how to Crochet Snowflake. thanks

  • You are welcome. :)

  • i heard about something called a flower stitch, what is it & can u make a video for it, thanks sooooooo much for your helpful videos :)

  • I have not heard of that one. Sometimes the crochet stitches have two or three names for the same stitch.

  • I love the galaxy stitch!!! How many stitches did you cast on? I checked your blog, but didn't see it there.

You are sooo amazing! Thank you for all of your videos?

    Thanks,

    Shan

  • I just did a small swatch starting off with 24 chains. The multiple is posted on my crochet blog.

  • Teresa, thank you so much for your informational videos, I can't tell you how much I appreciate them. I was wondering if you can use this stitch to make the magic potholder? Will you explain the proceedure if you can? Thanks so much again

  • Yes, it would make a pretty magic potholder.

  • i love this stitch, you are the crochet god. but what is the difference between this stitch and the star stitch??

  • The star stitch is more closed up with more loops on the hook. It also has a row of half double crochet to complete the top part of the star stitch. I have symbol instructions posted on my crochet blog so you might want to look there to compare the two together.

  • ok now this will be my next patttern stitch i will use this stitch for a beautiful scarf.

    great job in this tutorial.

    Thanks,

    Vera

  • Thank you. :)

  • i just made a huge full size blanket out of this stitch.. omg it turned out amazing.. i did 3 different colors in the center then turned it and kind of did the quilted court house step pattern. It was so easy.. it is reversible. Thank you Teresa.. you rock..

  • I would love to see a picture of your afghan.

  • i will take a picture of it tomorrow and send it to you.. u are truly an inspiration ty so much..

  • Thank you. :)

  • Not really getting this...if the multiple is 2 + 3 wouldn't that mean the minimum would be 5, but from the start you would be putting hook through the 4th, then when you skip one you'll go into the 2nd...now there is only one loop left but your supposed to skip one again...Maybe I'm just doing something wrong >_>

  • I have detailed information written out on my crochet blog with picture instructions. I am not sure what the minimum is that you are talking about.

  • i was wondering, at the end of the roll, ch 2 then turn, is there a difference if i turn and then ch 2?

  • There is no difference. In order to proceed to the next row you need to chain 2 and turn. You can turn and chain 2, it is the same thing.

  • would this stitch work with a crochet hat?

  • It would work as long as there are increases in your first few rounds.

  • Your videos are so amazing and helpful. I am the type of person who watches and understands, i cant read a book for the life of me. I refernce alot to your videos for so much help! this stitch is amazingly beautiful. Thank you for your talent and putting all these up.

  • You are welcome. :)

  • When doing the start chain how many chains did you do for the seven stitches?

  • I did 15 Chains.

  • Thanks, I'm off the restart a blanket using this stitch for my unborn son. I have done and undone this blanket at least three times.

  • You would want to do around 100-150 chains +3, for a baby blanket.

  • Ok Thank a Million!!!

  • Thank you so much for sharing your talent....this stitch is really pretty.

  • You are welcome.

  • that's a nice video...thanks teresa...Seema.

  • cool tutorial...i was really confused with your video for the hobo bag...have u ever sold any of your crocheted hats?

  • I sold a few hats about a year ago but have not had any luck since.
