Just noticed something the guy in the beginning was helping mell get riled up to perform. Watch before he does anything she is looking tired then when he makes that noise she jumps in. Tre cool of green days does stuff like this to help pump people up. And considering this is one of her most lively songs she might have needed some transition help to readjust her mood. Just a theory though
I think mell said at otakon She was a fan of Ken Morioka and basically fan girled when he took her on. Thus I think thats what she said. So I think he is the original singer and she replaced him

and for those who wanna know who is the Ken guy is, he took part in her music, at least arranged 'Rideback' as I know, but to me doesn't deserve to jumo on stage.
I really don't like this Ken Morioka guy. The entire beginning part of this video with him makes me so annoyed, maybe it's just this performance but that was seriously annoying and I'm glad once the real song started all he did was dance.
