I can remember listening to this classic on a budget-priced album from England, with independent artists, not the original ones. To me, at first, it sounded like a dress-up song, where a teacher would ask the class what they wanted to be. And, to make the matter somewhat spooky, the word 'Liverpool' sounded too much like 'Liverpoo'!
