Paul Weller was credited with "re-inventing" the mod movement in which The Beatles were heavily involved in. I personally think he's better than the Beatles, but don't forget, The Beatles influenced Paul Weller. The Beatles do have some good songs though, they were better towards the late sixties than the early sixties. Please have a listen than dismiss my comments. Check out songs like Get Back, Back in the USSR, Revolution, and Let It Be and tell me you're not impressed.

My 3 year old niece knows those songs. I love Weller and most of his work, he is a music legend and makes me proud to be British, but better than The Beatles? @scotthart2 Either you are very young or havn't heard the Lennon McCartney catalogue. I like Paul Weller, LOVED The Jam but to put him on a level playing field with L and M is madness...utter madness.

Even he'll admit most of what he has done is borne of L and M. They did it first and best. If you havn't been to one of his gigs my advice from a fan is...Don't bother..biggest disappointment I can remember.

Having said all that is IS still a great talent.. Each to their own anyhow

I've seen Paul live probably 6 or 7 times and had the pleasure of meeting the legend a couple of times also, him along with the current band, especially andy lewis and steve pilgrim in particular are outstanding, last week at the royal albert hall was probably my favourite gig of all time!!
